Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Mine. It's an '87 GMC Wrangler. It's the third one i have owned, same color and everything. This one is the nicest tho, hence me keeping it :-) It is a full load truck in almost mint shape. A new 350 chipped engine was in place when i bought it. I have since installed:
a new tranny
TBI spacer
Dual exhaust (Edelbrock shorty headers soon to come)
Lowered it alot (rear bagged now, soon to be fully w/ FBSS)
rear sport bumper
tailgate insert (soon to be blazer style w/ handle flip)
SS wheel well trims
old school clear corner and tail lights
Billet phantom grille
Rims and tires, Summer 17's winter 15's (they change often)
Custom rear window curtains (by my mom lol)
Alarm/Remote start
Panasonic CDP was in when i bought it but i added an MTX amp and
two 10" subs
Mini grant steering wheel
...Many other little bolt on's
As of right now it's a long, mean, loud, head turner, and only gonna
get badder (as money allows ofcourse)

Anyway, it was suggested to me that i add my LWB to this thread so here it is. I added a lil info as some of you like to know what was done. Some of the pic's i provide, look alot different (mainly heights and wheels). If anyone has questions please feel free to PM me rather than cluter up this thread. Thanks.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

I'm trying to find the 1974 Lime green (M) paint code for my Jimmy the paint code sites don't have it, but the 74 sales brochure shows it. It really doesn't look like lime but I like the color. Can anyone help?

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

My 1978 long bed C20 I just got three days ago, shot these the day I got it before I cleaned it all up. Looks much better now other than the 2000lbs of trash in the bed!

But it hauls the weight around well because of this:

That looks pretty sharp there hessian18. I like the way that bumper looks with that grille. I have thought about replacing my parking lights with driving lights. If you decide to do that, let me know how it works out.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Yesterday I traded a $300 bass guitar and $400 amp for this 75 C10 LB. Looking forward to sharing with you all as this project develops. Motor (350) and tranny (350 turbo) have a tight fresh rebuild. This will be my transportation when I don't feel like riding my motorcycle.

I need a wiper motor and driver side window before the rain comes to town.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Kinda late, I know, but here's my project 86 Sierra.

I'm putting a 6.0L with 4l80E, Dana 60, etc. Right now the paint is in not too great of shape. The body is straight and no rust anywhere. Painting it Cyber Grey Metallic, same color that you can get on new Vettes and Camaros. Interior is black.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Here's my 1973 Cheyenne 20 Camper Special. Bought it about a month ago for $800. Since then its looks have changed a lot and the interior has really been improved. Next step is to seal up the leaky header gaskets, then drop it 3/5 (w/ smaller tires of course). Eventually it will be either flat orange w/ 17-20" black rims or gloss hugger orange w/black rims. The truck was originally orange.

This is what it looked like before I primered it and painted the rusty wheels black

This is my 84' K20 project "Higher Expectations", still a work in progress, but drivable as is. It also doubles as an expensive fishing rod holder..lol
