OK I'll hit the highlights here but generally its easier to keep on track over on my Highlander thread linked above and here.

Your truck was never a factory Cheyenne.
It was built as a Custom Deluxe (Z62).
It also had the Highlander Plaid cloth trim upgrade to Z62 which changed the trim colors and added black carpet.

Some trucks had the Highlander Promo Packages (YG6,7 or 8), yours is not one. They simply bundled common options for cost savings but included the Highlander trim upgrade as part of the Promo Packages.

Custom Deluxe included the chromed window trims and your truck was ordered with a chromed front bumper upgrade (without any rear bumper).

The paint scheme is called "Custom Two-Tone". It is defined by the 557 paint code as a Dark Olive (506) body color truck with a Medium Olive (504) roof. Here is a picture showing the colors and application to a IIRC 70 CST/10.

my vote would be keep the bucket seats and console , better ride and looks great , one of these days I will have a set of buckets in mine....

My 69. It came with these 24" wheels. I need to replace them with some rally wheels as soon as I can find some.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II

Fixing to get started, first one is my dads ol 72 4x4 that I am going to do a frame off starting soon. Second one is a 69 parts truck I just picked up. A previous owner put the 69 body on a 76 frame.....

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II

Our 1967 C10 LWB. Originally a 250 truck, but it has been rather terribly swapped over to a 283 before 1980 according to the title. This 283 is well worn and smokes out of both sides of the exhaust whenever it's running. Originally a 3 on the tree, but somebody put in a 3 speed floorshift and only used ONE bolt to attach it to the engine. Key? We don't need no key...

We don't need no bed floor either...

The truck does drive though, but it would probably choke out anyone behind if it was driven on a public road...

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II

Always been a Chevy PU man since I drove my employers 73 C10 Cheyenne Super. I had an 86 that I got tired of fudging the emissions on so I bought a 71C20. Turned into a rust bucket and would have cost me 15K to repair but still has life in it so I gave it to my son who is in the process of working on it. I decided to buy a new to me 72 C20 with the package I wanted.
SBC, auto tran, HD suspension, dual saddle tanks and setup for towing. I bought it out of S. California so it is just about free of rust.
I have had it painted and installed a TH400 w/GV OD although I am having problems getting the GV running due to an electrical problem. I replaced the dash wiring harness and modified the wiring to run the TH400 as it org had a TH350. Added a tonneau cover and am going to put a 383 stroker in it that is on the engine stand by next spring.
