Hahaha well that was just to bring it to the show, its kinda a screwey job, they want you to back your truck off the trailer and drive it to your spot at the show. Im sure its alot easier when you have a little rice rocket honda civic with just wheels a coffee can exhaust and a walmart system. Compared to this piece of crap with a 572 blown alcohol injected motor you have 0 seat time in. Im only speaking from experience ha. Super hard to drive with front and rear spools full time 4wd stupid amount of power cant hear anything no sway bars and only been driven once lol.

Re: 540 BBC 68 Burb Dually 54" Boggers on Rocks

Seriously thanks everyone for all the support ive said it many times, im just a 25 year old kid building a truck out of a 2 car garage in new mexico. I have an incredibly patient and tolerant wife and im still trying to learn somthing new every day. I really dont have that much tallent i just try to work hard and learn off of what has worked (and what hasnt) on others builds and put my touch in along the way. When i go work on my truck i have the opinion that as long as when i go outside to work on it it looks different when i go back in then im making progress and going in the right direction.

Thanks again so much for all the support and criticism if anybody is ever in southern new mexico please dont hesitate to P.M. me so we can get together and go blast around!

Oh i forgot, only as long as you pay for the alcohol/ methanol which i think was right around 18 dollars a gallon when i left.

Haha thanks man! Well the wheels are made by john staszak at Stazworks. He builds one off custom 4x4 steel wheels for alot of the top truck challenge trucks as well as many others. My front tires are 20X14's and the rears are 20x12's all double beadlocked, hands down he builds the best wheels and there all in house. Check out his website (stazworks.com)and you'd have to call him for pricing ect. He has a haas cnc machine so all those cool tabs i have he made for me and he also does rear steer kits. So hes definalty not one dimensional doing just wheels. If you call him tell him joel with the piece of crap suburban sent you and he will help ya out ha.

Lol yea, i had to have it running by sema. The problem is i havent put sway bars on yet so its a pain in the ass to drive cause it squats to one side then to the other. So i need to make some just ordered the pillow blocks so hopefully it will be jumping in no time!

Actually yea. Bad news though..... So while the truck was at sema it basically only ran for about 2 minuites total, just enough to get it off the trailer and into its spot. When i brought it back home i just kept it on the trailer and spent time with my wife for a bit cause i kinda missed her for the last 8 months of working on the truck lol. Then i went out to turn the motor over and i could hear this grinding noise coming from the blower snout, thought thats odd i wonder what that is. So i pulled a spark plug off and bumped it again and could hear the grinding in the supercharger still so i pulled off the inspection cover for the blower snout and this is what i saw......

Re: 540 BBC 68 Burb Dually 54" Boggers on Rocks

So the machine shop who assembled the motor and dynoed it for 20 minutes "forgot" to put any gear oil in the blower snout, it ended up screwing up the 4 of the 6 Teflon strips on the rotors, knocking the barrings out of balance, and fried the gears....

No worries though, Don Hampton at Hampton Blowers came to the rescue and fixed it free of charge! (900 dollars in parts and labor). Oh and he even called the machine shop and let them have it! Great dude and awesome customer service i really hope i have an excuse to put a blower on another motor just so i can use his product again!

Blower Timeline:
Figured it out on Sunday 11/18
Sent it to him monday 11/19
He got it on wendesday 11/21
Sent it back to me with tracking number 11/23
Scheduled to be at my door Tuesday 11/27
