Re: Project: Mistress

Just got throught the whole build. Wow! you sure took this one a long way. I really like th rally wheels on there. Just looks right. Sorry to hear about all the drama with the paint guy. I found out the hard way a long time ago how frustrating it is to wait on someone else to work on your truck. Looks like you have enjoyed the truck since "completion".

By the way what rims and tires (sizes) are those? I'm thinking of doing a 2/4 drop on mine eventually and those wheels look perfect!!

Re: Project: Mistress

*Small Update*...I've had a POSI carrier out of a 71 truck sitting in my garage for about a year and finally found someone help me rebuild and install.....

Frankie Flanagan, old drag race guy, lives 5 miles down the road from me...got his name from a guy who knew a guy!!! I ventured over to his place to first check out his shop....yep...this is my guy....427 corvette, 68 Camaro, and 2 drag cars.....about 1000 shims, bushings, clutches, etc hanging on the walls...car and truck rearends and engines neatly along the wall, tools, pictures, trophies....yep...definitely my guy!!!

Took the Mistress over to him last night....he had already rebuilt the carrier- new clutches/ bearings.....He started on the final install first thing this morning....new axle and pinion bearings and seals, pull the open carrier out, put rebuilt posi in, added lube and gear oil....and....

sorry no video BUT one happy customer here!!!!....

That thing doesn't have enough power to break the tires loose anyway.
