Re: 68 C 10 stepside "My American Bulldog"

Looks like some good finds. Hate I missed it, but would have been a long drive for me with bad weather. Wonder what tomorrow would be like? Usually sunday is kind of slow and with this bad weather some might have left early.

Re: 68 C 10 stepside "My American Bulldog"

i am guessing no bow tie in the grille and the little inserts that are rivited in the grille and hen that means no parking lights in the grille hence them being in the headlights.....

I photoshopped and antiqued this picture to get the look I'm going for.
I'm still not 100% on a color, But this is my latest thoughts

Re: 68 C 10 stepside "My American Bulldog"

Tonight, I finished my tranny.
I started out with new clutches, Steels,
Seals, And gaskets.

Then I added a shift kit, Modified the baseplate,
Reworked the vales, New sprigs, And modified the
torque converter plate.

Gave it a fresh coat of paint, And added some billet goodies.

It was a long day!

very nice! That looks great and should perform even better! Where did you get the pan and flywheel cover from? Skip white or somewhere else?

I'm glad you are enjoying it. I hate to set a date,
But it would be nice to be driving it this summer.

I couldn't tell you how many nice comments I got on the
wagon at the swap meet. And people asking to take a picture of it.

The axles are a bad subject,
New ETA 3/6/11. I'm looking for another source. If I trusted the local
machine shops, I just have them redo mine. But that's out of the question.
another option, Is to get a whole rearend out of a full sized 70's car. And
put my saddles on it. But we'll see.

Re: 68 C 10 stepside "My American Bulldog"

Yesterday, I got my my engine and tranny put back together,
And bolted into the frame. For good I hope.
Now I need to run the fuel lines, And brake lines.
I may also rebuild the starter today.

Yeah! I love that 50's style Batwing.
It holds a 14"x4" K&N nicely.
It shouldn't have any breathing problems.
