Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Long Beds Part II

Here is my new 86 long bed. Last owner sprayed it yellow. I plan to take it back
To the original two tone of blue (21u) and white.

Here is the front view. Gonna need a face lift soon.

Inside need a little work.

Refinishing the old rally before I can but new ones.

I have never sent from my phone, just to my email, must be the same size options it gives. Not sure what works from phone to site if small or medium, looking forward to reposting and having a look, all chevy's are cool, start or finished.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Long Beds Part II

This is my 84 I picked it up last summer I am the second owner the original owner ordered the truck at 60+ years old, I replaced the dual pipes and added some baffled glass packs. I threw away the rotten Goodyear wranglers and put some cooper Cobras on the original rims because I had them laying around It's a 6.2 700r4. The truck was kept up real well and I have all the records. The interior is like new. Not a scratch stain or crack the ashtray has never been used. The pull straps are broken, but that happened right away anyway on all of them I pulled the running boards and the huge white " Alberta Wild Rose Country " mud flaps It has the usual rust above the wheels on the bedsides, and the holes along the bottom edge from the running boards You can see the tar along the bottom still that sealed them and kept rust out. Still working on cleaning that up and changing fluids and filters. A/c blows cold even. It's nice to open a folder and you know exactly when and what was done to a truck in its lifetime. Nothing is hacked at all. It's the cheapest and best shape square body I have bought yet, I wasn't looking for one when I bought it but couldn't pass it up. I'll prob keep it as is for awhile so I can finish up other projects.

Love the wheel choice. What does your drop consist of?

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Long Beds Part II

gearhead, right now it is a 4/6 drop. I did a flip and removed bump stops in the rear, and cut 2 coils in the front. Front bottoms out on everything. I am about to install 2.5" drop shackles and cut 1 coil from a set of new coils that I bought from Summit when they had them for $8. The wheels I bought from a guy that had them on a jeep. Bought 5 of them for $60. Painted them myself with Rustoleum to match. Rustoleum sand and almond are a pretty close match to Buckskin and Santa Fe tan. Tires are 265/60-17.
