The springs are not the only consideration regarding the weight. The 12 bolt isn't going to hold up long under a 8 foot utility bed loaded down with tools and supplies. It all depends on how you are going to use the truck.

That was one of my main concerns. I would definitely be loading the utility bed with all my tools, and the weight of all the tools, plus the heavy utility bed made me think a k10 might not be able to handle that constant weight. I might need to go in another direction with my K10. Now about finding a 66 K20..... |

Yeah with that constant weight a C/K20 would be a better choice.

The "Fire Bucket" working at the Viking Run here in Denmark we hauled a lot of power cables for that one. Set up temporary power for 2375 cars and trucks campers dealers and such. Every 2 years in Roskilde Denmark. I put her to work every chance I can.
