Re: My other passion...65' Impala SS

looks like you got a chance to me! looks like hp and gears will be the difference, as long as you can get traction off the line and scoot. with a 3.08 was it a peg legger? or posi?

and besides you have to hold up our end....can't let a ferd beat you!

Re: My other passion...65' Impala SS

You have him on Hp, gears and trans setup but a little porky for sure, should still edge him out and we kind of need you too having a Chevy and all. Do a few practice runs by yourself to get the off the line part down.

I'll do my best! She feels really strong right now! I am playing a bit with my timing and changing rods and springs in my edelbrock 600 too, so hoping I can get her dialed in!

I'm thinking you should be able to get him. You have weight on your side so maybe you can use that to your advantage.

Hows that disc brake kit holding up? I been looking at pol brake kits for my 67 but I haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I love it! It was an easy install and I am so happy with the braking performance. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it for a second. The difference was night and day!

With bigger and wider wheels have you run spacers?

Nope, no spacers at all. I could even get away with 20x10 in the rear with 275 tires. The car rides great and handles perfectly. The wheels are the 20x10 showwheel streeters, and they do make them in the exact size that I need, so no reason for spacers.

Re: My other passion...65' Impala SS

Deal. I will put air ride in it.

Also Diesel, that race should be taking place very soon! The mustang now has a 4 barrel carb, aluminum manifold, and new torque converter though

Re: My other passion...65' Impala SS

Ask and you shall receive. Got air ride and will be putting it in in the next couple weeks when I get time.
I got the rear air bags installed, and just ran each line to a schrader valve to test. Here are pics of it aired up, and dropped low. Actual ride height will be somewhere in the middle.
