Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics

Here's mine with 5x5 "6 steelies and original 6x5.5 "6 steelies in the back. Tires are 235/70r15's all around. I went with the beauty rings and baby moons to hide the different bolt patterns but I really like it now.

1960s vintage E.T. Supers with original oval center caps
Front: 15x6, 215/65-15
Rear: 15x8.5 w/3.0" backspace, 265/70-15

I polished the lips and painted the centers a charcoal gray with a platinum pearl added. They really pop in the daylight.

Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics

Beautiful restoration/repaint on the wheels. I like the painted washers, I've never seen that done before. I had a few of these back in the 70's, and they were nice quality wheels. I got all of mine at local wrecking yards for $5-$10 each. Times have sure changed on that front.

Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics

Anybody know what type of hub caps are available for the smoothie steel wheels other than the shannon cones and baby moons? More along the line of original style 50s & 60s GM caps.... I'd love to be able to find a way to adapt the stock 59-60 Chevy truck caps to my smoothies. Anybody know about this? Also love the look on C10addict's "Rusty" 64's 56 caps. I'd do that on mine if I can!

Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics

I've got mid-80's S10 hub caps on my truck for now.

Was thinking of taking those off and just running a beauty ring.
