Your fine with just running a new arm with a 4" lift, not a problem.

Bump steer is the bigger issue I'm addressing with the cross over.

I'm building this one to be what I'm calling my "streetable-Beatable-Blazer"
Meaning that by installing all those rugged off road mods, it will only benefit me in the end.

I just found a D60 housing (in a wrecking yard, someone plucked the ring and pinion assembly and the axle shafts?) Is the houfsing, steering knuckle assemblies with brakes worth getting if I can score it cheap?? I'd need a new diff and gears, plus axles?? I found a killer 70's dodge 4-door truck with a set of Dana 60's (front and rear) it is forest service green so it has lived the life, but he wants a grand for the whole truck and it runs and drives good???

DANA 60 help on isle 6?!

I'd say yes for the D60 housing if you can get it for $400 or hopefully less. D60's always have a resale if you decide not to use it. Just my $.02. Jason

Hey Kurt,
I'll get some pics up on my mud racer post of the pieces i've got for my D60. I just got my rotor back from being turned down for my wilwood dynalite calipers. I'm waiting for a friend to cut out my brackets for them. Also have gears and a new trac loc to install. I'll post up on mine though, i don't want to hijack yours. Jason

Like the "shake & spray" all in one bottle part of it, that's cool.

Brown bread is a really decent product from what I've read but for me personally, spray on products net out better coverage as an end result.

I read on the Lizard skin site that theirs can be painted over too.

Sounds close, we picked up a D60 HP once coming back from a wheeling trip and it took three of us to get the thing onto the trailer.

It was WAY heavy!

I am sold, I need a D60, the JY one with no guts seems like an option, but I located a running driving Forestry Dodge (full four doors!!) with a D60 front (and a 7D70 rear I guess?) for a $1G, I guess that is the better deal?? Blazer parts are cool and coming along nice, and I too need to build a shop table/workbench, tired of the concrete floor takin' a beatin' every time I need to "work" on something!!

The RC's are way cool and can get crazy on the $$$/time investment as well!! I see we are all cut from mostly the same cloth, I am not nearly as "sick" as I thought I was, or at least there are others out there like me?! Looking good, can't wait for more progress picts?!

Well...I asked the guy why I was told it would ship on Friday when in fact it didn't and his answer was that one of the arms was missing the set screw on top and he only found that out later.

Even so, they could have done/offered a couple things IMO.
1) Send me an e-mail telling me about their snafu. (at the very least)
2) Upgraded my shipping to 2nd day air to make up for the lost time.
I got neither.

D60 tech note:
FYI to those about to change out the inner axle seals, know this.

Thanks but it's all done now.
A little Yankee Engineering and the next size BFH and it was game over.

Now it's all about making the existing inner axles except the full circle clips.

Are they different from a dana 44? When everything is out they are easy to remove with a long piece of pipe. As for installing i made a tool like this one to make them easier.
