Re: 1972 Cheyenne Restoration

Re: 1972 Cheyenne Restoration
We also discovered as we re-built this motor/truck that the previous owners really didn't know what they were doing... The motor was worn out..wiring is totally hacked up under the hood.. not all that great in the cab....probably the most rot I have ever repaired on one vehicle....but.... time spent with my son Jon.... PRICELESS !!!!!!!!!

In all seriousness though lots of health problems may be averted by wearing gloves, all the oils, gas, cleaning solvents and chemicals are not good for the body.

Re: 1972 Cheyenne Restoration
Is that a new fan clutch? or just repainted? I want to pick one up for my truck soon. Progress is looking great!

Re: 1972 Cheyenne Restoration
Old ones....tore up..and wasted.. Jon and I removed the metal bracket, he blasted them and painted them.. I used a staple gun with 3/8 staples on a block of wood for the roundish flaps, bent the back sides down with a hammer, used the staples from the seal kit to hold the seals to the metal bracket, and hammered the staples flat.. Pretty easy to do...
