Re: 56 chevy build (Aus)

Still no video. Im trying to get a hold of a good camera, not just my phone. capture the sound.

Sorted out my lead problems and fitted and made new MSD leads.

Got the cab 70% blasted just not some of the parts i had already worked on.

Got a coat of primer surfacer on after hours of sanding and washing after being blasted. Getting stuff blasted seems easy but there is alot of prep after so you don't have any problems later.

I Have been laying a coat of this stuff under all my panels. I have heard nothing but amazing stuff about it. Just rub down with 180 and body work over the top.

Dont think i have posted these before. but i made access doors on both sides to the battery and air gear, just incase of any problems and if the battery dies and the car airs out i wont be able to get the the battery.

Re: 56 chevy build (Aus)

been super busy getting stuck in to the end of the body work.

The insides and door frames were very very time consuming.

fixed some small rust issues also.

Re: 56 chevy build (Aus)

Something abit different i been working on. Picked up this bike for a steal, i ride motorcross and always wanted to get my road licence. So for the price i got this for i thought i would do it up abit and get my licence for a sunday cruiser untill my truck is finished.

And also have my first go at finish painting.

How i bought it.

and once i was finished. Took me 2 weekends.

and a cool shot from my first ride.

Wow what an improvment on the bike. I dig it. I can't wait to see your truck in paint. Your body work looks great. Keep it up.

Walking in to find this big guy laying on top of my motor. Im not a huge snake fan but thats what you get in the Australian bush.

That would have definitely freaked me out!! I don't get along with snakes since a rattler cost me a finger in '03.

Just found your build and I am impressed. Nice job.

I see your radiator is in front of the support. Will your hood close there? Thanks Rich

Nice build!

Did the 4-link and bags on the rear axle the same.
Works fine, thank you!

What size of bags do you use on the rear axle?

Bit of a update. finally got the cab finished, prob was the biggest job on the whole car. Everything turned out really nice. Door jams look alot better now.

ALOT of Rubbing.

all finished and ready for final prime.

Off to get primed in a booth.

Final Fit up before paint.

Oh and had another visitor, it was bigger then the first one. This place is turning into a reptile park haha.
