Re: 72 Not sure what to call it yet resto!
Guys I have been working on a brick job from HELL since mid May. I am thankful to have the work but omg what a pita it has been. The truck has been just sitting in the shop for the last two months. I saw it this past weekend for the first time in over a month... I was able to get the glass both front and the rear slider in at least.
Next up I need to order the Vintage Air for it. I already have the compressor that came with the engine so I need to order whatever kit they have less that. It's a GM (Delco) 88964849 that comes with the Fastburn crate engine. Should I just call Vintage direct or is there someone here that has already ordered a kit with the same situation I have? Being summer and all I got side tracked on the Lake a few times too. |

Glad to hear you are still doing good. I think you can go with the new sure fit model. It should work with your compressor. (check with them before you order). There is at least one vender on here that sells the Vintage Air systems. They should be able to save you some bucks. I'm with you on a crazy work schedule. I haven't touched my project in over a month. It's kinda nice getting away for a while. It works out good because I don't have AC in my shop and it's 100+ everyday here. |

Re: 72 Not sure what to call it yet resto!
Hey Hector, Thanks! How's your truck these days? I just got back to work on mine a week ago. Been trying to finish the fatmat in the cab and doing a little detail stuff until my help comes Saturday.
Here is a cool shot I took yesterday.... can't believe its getting close. |

Re: 72 Not sure what to call it yet resto!
Okay finally I will have some updated pics on here this evening maybe. Got the fastburn fired and she moves under power.. and stops! Milestone for me to say the least after all of this.
Man! Lots of killer projects going here on the board, could take all month just to catch up. |

Thanks, no big deal. I wanted to see the bed. I have a swb K10 with a rotten bed. I was thinking about building a flatbed with some nice oak rails on it.
