Sounds like a legitimate question to me.....

Answer is yes. The factory trailing arms will bolt right into our trailing arm crossmember.

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmember

Random question, how are you guys keeping framing scratching your frame up when you air out? Are you mounting some sort of stop on the bottom of your frame rails? I'm going to be running the extreme dropmembers on mine so just curious. Thanks

There are a few ways to do it. You can make a bumpstop system that will actually keep the frame from touching the ground. Easiest way to do this is to make a spacer that bolts between the bag and lower control arm. Make it tall enough to where the bag acts as a bumpstop and keeps the truck from bottoming out. This will also be a safety in case of air system or bag failure while driving.

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmember

ok one more question, If I order the adj trac bar and later order the 3" drop trailing arms will the lower end of the trac bar mount directly to the trailing arm or will I have to use the lower bracket / modify the trailing arms or bracket.

The adjustable track bar has a different length panhard bar than what is used when running the tubular trailing arms. If you are planning on buying tubular arms, it is best to purchase them the same time as the trac bar.

Mine is a '78 with 255/35/20 up front. A/C didn't fit. With a little modification it might though, it's close.

Nate's C4 stuff is sooo sweet. I bought a Corvette just to run it, but then couldn't cut it up The only thing for me was the cost of the shockwaves were too much for my budget. If I win the lotto, I would run Nate's C4 front/rear in a second.

I'm running it with coilovers for that reason. Plus air management cost and complexity.

I wanted to run the select ride Shockwaves. Similar to the FX3 suspension that was on my C4 Corvette using an actuator adjusted valve to switch from performance to comfort mode on the fly.

After my first air truck, I will never go back to static dropped vehicles again.
