Sounds great! What software package did you use and where did you get it?

Re: '72 Chevy SWB, Project Driver
Thanks! She smooths out the more it runs. The software is ElmScan, its a scan tool that allows you to view data and read and clear codes. It doesn't have "tuning" capability like HPtuners or EFI live.
More info on it http://www.scantool.net/elmscan5-compact.html I bought it on amazon for $40 Amazon.com: ElmScan 5 Compact USB OBD-II Scan... |

Re: '72 Chevy SWB, Project Driver
Thanks everyone. The tune was a mail tune by Black Bear Performance, great customer service. I hope to have it on the road by the end of May at the latest. Then I can start working on it like I originally intended(small weekend projects)
List for drivable. Fill with coolant Make push rod spacer for master cly Install/rebuild steering column and shift linkage Clean/paint driveshaft and press in U joints Figure out a air intake Install hood Mount TAC and gas pedal Clean up wiring in cab, behind motor and by computer. And I better get some exhaust on it |

Re: '72 Chevy SWB, Project Driver
Awesome!
Very cool, I love it and so will you Your fuel pump is mounted in the exact same place as mine it, so quiet you can barely even hear it prime. Depending on what direction you wanted to go with, the factory tube/MAF setup works excellent for my setup and looks factory.

Re: '72 Chevy SWB, Project Driver
Thanks. I just want to drive the damn thing! Driveshaft painted, U joints in and installed....small steps.
Driveshaft being the prefect length was dumb luck. Never posted a pic of the hydroboost. I need a spacer between the hydroboost and the master cyl push rod. |

Nice build! Will be interesting to see what kind of gas mileage you are able to pull off with the 4.8 and 4L80e.

Thanks! The pressure line from pump to HB unit is from a 85 C/20 diesel. The pressure line from HB to steering gear is made from Jegs teflon AN-6 hose with adapters(forgot what size). The mounting plate and extension came from this guy: http://www.ifsja.org/forums/vb/showt...ght=hydroboost Then the little spacer I made that goes in the master cylinder hole is made from a cheap 3/8" extention 1 1/16" long. |

Man that sucks on the new column. I have opened a bunch of broken parts packages. I know how this works. Hopefully they will make right with you.
