They are angled...so I am not exactly sure what measurement you need.

You can install these, put the speakers in, and still have your bench seat all the way back. If that helps to answer the question.

Re: 73-87 cab corner 6X9 speaker brackets - 2nd series

I bought a set of these 6x9 brackets a while back and never posted about them until now. They fit snug in either corner at about a 45 degree angle. I've got a stock bench which goes all the way back so there's nothing is in the way after installing them. I'd like to get low pro buckets in place of the bench, it'll open up more space for the 6x9's to really shine. The sound is just aimed at the back coner and side of the bench for now.

I cut a piece of wood to go between mine. Seems like it was 56 1/2 if I remember correctly.

Re: 73-87 cab corner 6X9 speaker brackets - 2nd series

I recently purchsed these speaker brackets for my 77 GMC short box, unfortunatly the top of the bracket interfered with the seat belt, I had to cut off the bottom mounting bracket and one inch off of the top and cut a small relief in the bottom right corner for the dome light wiring and then used self drilling screws to attach to the bottom of the cab. All in all it worked out but not a perfect fit.

Yeah, 77's have the one-year-only mid mount seat belt retractors. I hope you knew this before your purchase, as I have this mentioned everywhere I have these posted.

Glad you got them to work however, thanks for the purchase.

Not sure how to post pics but send me a text message and I will take some pics with my phone, I used an air saw, it is a very easy mod to do. 7576359922

Re: 73-87 cab corner 6X9 speaker brackets - 2nd series

Jeff, the brackets are outstanding and I hope this allows us with 77s to use and modify them to fit. Unfortunatly I did not see anything about the mid mount seat belt thing. But you have to adapt overcome and improvise! I sent pics to the other fella and I can send them to you, it was an easy fix. I would buy them again!

I want some of these! Will the factory wiring hook up to any 6x9? I want to redo everything but don't have time/money yet.

Yes, if you have 4x10's back there now, you can use the existing wiring for the new 6x9's, not a problem.

I'm going to check the seat belt retractor in my 78 tonight, if it is the right one I'll probably place an order soon.

Waddell? If so, yes, they went out earlier in the week. Due to the shipping cost, they went parcel which takes a couple days longer.

Thanks for the purchase!

I don't think anyone picking up a set of these will be disappointed. Definately quality pieces.
