Re: Project 7deuce

Yeah I don't know why I read that as 2011, but apparently I did. I'm hoping to roll my 74 square on the Powertour in 2012, since I don't think the squares are welcome at Hot August Nights yet.

She's comin along man! Almost makes me want to build a 67-72

Re: Project 7deuce

Been busy on the truck and some other misc projects and heres some pics....Got my new bed end cap installed just needs to be welded together it ook forever to get all the body lines straight...Next work will be getting the crease out of the bedside and then on to the back cab wall that was pushed in.. Next time Im just going to get a new bedside as it would have been a whole lot easier.

Re: Project 7deuce

Getting this panel to line up right was a pain in the ass to say the least.. I sanded off all the paint and bondo off both the bedside and taillight cap. I then measured about 5000 time and cut very little off at a time untill it fit somewhat good..

I can see now there isn't nothing you can't accomplish, and not enough is said of somebody that just tackles a job and gets it done no matter how hard it might seem.
I'm sure your enjoying the process.

Re: Project 7deuce

So I'm a little late with the updates had a huge party at the house last night. So I didn't get as much done as I wanted to but here we go.. The e fans went in for the last time used all stainless hardware and some double sided foam that was sticky on one side and soft on the other. I used this to form a cushion between the fan shroud and radiator. I gotta thank sams60gmc for helping me make the shroud months ago.. You can see how dirty my engine compartment is from other work going on in the shop so I have detailing the motor back out on my list of things to do.. You can also see my sorry ass power steering lines that need to be addressed asap..

Re: Project 7deuce

Finally found the chevy only sticker and threw it on thanks dino... While I was shopping for stainless bolts I figured what the hell the powersteering box looks like she could use some bling so i picked up some stainless cap screws to help it tie into the rest of the engine compartment.

Old power steering lines replaced with custom made stainless lines from frankstrucks up in Washington...For 100 bucks these things are sweet and they polish out real well..
