If you want to lay frame,... you have to start that plan from the beginning. Otherwise you will be spending your money twice. If you want it low,... I would do a 5/7 static drop. Laying frame will put you in a completely different price range. What is your budget?

MDc10,... if you want to lay frame,... look at these threads.
They will show you the amount of work and money it takes to get these 73-87 trucks on the ground. http://www.porterbuiltfabrication.co...2-73-87-Trucks

I would guess this is the same person who takes the torch and heats the front coil sprins til it sits as low as he wants, but comes back later after things cool to see it is 2" lower than he wanted. |

Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's
Finally got a new computer so I can post my pics now. Here's my 74 finally lowered. Ebay flip brackets and 2 coils cut. I'm thinkin 4.5/6 drop. Truck is sittin on bump stops. Am goin to get the front bump stops cut off and remove the rears and get some air shocks for the rear. Also needs an alignment...has a slight camber. Runnin on 235/75s and no rubbing at all. Rides a bit bouncy but not too bad.

Agreed! I love how slammed the 60s trucks look with their flat wheel openings.

Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's
Lovely truck and oh so loving the split window. I own a 75 Baywindow, 75 Split window bus (13 window) although they dont regard them as German buses as they were bits and pieces of Brazil and German buses but assembled in South Africa and also a 66 beetle...

Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's
Here's my 68 .............. 5" drop springs in the rear . not sure about the front. I cut 2 coils off the springs. I have new 3" drop springs from CPP for the front , but haven't got them on yet. I think once I put the new springs up front , it will probably sit higher. Might have to go with new drop spindles to get it back down.
