Re: Project "Hulk Jr"
Hey Brett, I talked to Bryce at FiTech. He told me how to adjust for the idle, so now we are good at about 700 RPM. But he said that he will be sending me a new injector for #2 and that he was sorry it has a problem.
Remember this truck is haunted... Stupid things go wrong every time I touch it. After getting the idle corrected. my son took it to school and the truck would not shift into drive after it went through 1st and 2nd when shifting in to drive it sounds like it goes into neutral. 1100 miles on the truck since the rebuild. So the trans guy asked me if the fluid smelt burnt...I didn't check the smell just the fluid level so I will be checking the fluid smell tonight. My trans guy said to bring it in and he would look at it. I swear it is haunted. Every time something goes wrong it is an odd thing that never happens......this truck IT ALL happens!!!!!(****)

Update: I dropped the truck off at the Trans shop. He told me he was not going to mess around and was going to pull it and rebuild it using a different components, better cage and clutches oh and some valve work. As I don't know much about transmissions it sounded good. Fitech shipped me out another injector should be here today. The truck sat for 2 days so last night I went to start it and turned the key to on let the pump cycle, hit the starter... started right up idled at about 1000 rpm. In about 5 minutes it dropped to 800 I pull it out of the shop and drove it.... drove like a new truck no stumble or anything..... that is nice!!! I will keep you guys posted!!!

Re: Project "Hulk Jr"
First C10, this is the first one of your threads that I have run across. So I'm a bit lost on who all Hulk, Hulk jr., mini Hulk, Hulk a Mania, Hulk Hogan, and David Banner are. But I do know that I really like this dark green rig. Would love to have a truck just like it. I think the satin finish makes it, and it's a rig you could drive anywhere. Nice work on it, your son is very lucky. You got all of this work done really fast too.

Thanks for checking out my build's. Well kind of a long story. In my signature you will see the Hulk build. It was the one I started first that was influenced by the dark green truck hence the name hulk which is what my son named it. Since hulk was not going to be ready for him to start driving we decided to tear apart the green truck and build it into a truck that can be used hunting fishing reliable all around truck. If you read the beginning of the hulk build that might shed some light on how we are actually working on two trucks heck I even get confused on which truck I'm working on LOL Thanks for checking out my build and the kind words

Re: Project "Hulk Jr"
Trans Update.
Well my trans guy pulled the trans and had to replace 3rd gear. He ordered I think he said a new HD cage and clutch packs. He wasn't sure what caused it but that he would get it right. I will be giving him a few bucks just because he could have told me to remove the trans and bring to him for repair. Then I would have to reinstall. Remember he just rebuilt it and I installed it. But he said its a nice truck and likes it. He said it would be done today but I told him no hurry. I will keep you guys informed.

Re: Project "Hulk Jr"
Thanks Brett. He can't wait to get it back. Even though he is driving his brothers 70 c10. But it is lowered and he likes 4x4's.

Re: Project "Hulk Jr"
Hey guys.
Got the truck back. He installed shift kit and Alco(I think or something like that) clutch packs. He said stock was 6 now it has 9. I got the new injector installed in the Fitech injection. Damn it starts and runs nice. I ordered a new front bumper and have a little project with it. Too be continued.

Re: Project "Hulk Jr"
Hey guys time for an little update.
Football season is close to coming to an end. Now I have a little time to get back on track with these projects. I was able to find a a paintable 72 front bumper. I ordered a set of small 9" LED light bars. I have to do a little cutting and welding but it should look pretty cool. The truck has a rear pinion leak. That is one thing I don't think I replaced. I will have to go back on my thread to find out. Lol. The last picture is with the light bar just sitting in the hole for a quick test fit and to see what it would look like.

Re: Project "Hulk Jr"
Good morning Mike,
With a little messaging they fit. Width is where it is close. Height is a little big but need room to rotate the bar to get the light projection correct. I am going to weld a bracket to the bumper that lets me move the light as the bumper comes the a slight ^.

Re: Project "Hulk Jr"
Got them installed and adjusted as far as the bench goes. Now need to get it on the truck and see how they work.
Not bad for 18 LEDs on each bar. Then after I will get the bumper and brackets powder coated. Also have a few other things to get done. Battery tray radiator support etc.

That’s a great idea Scott! If we had a 67-68 front clip on the K30 I’d follow your lead for sure…

Re: Project "Hulk Jr"
Of course my 72 has to have turn signals but I see it as a way to add lights to an earlier model, great idea and solution!

Re: Project "Hulk Jr"
Thanks guys I thought it would be different. You guys with 71-72 fronts can put 69-70 grill with parking light in the grill....lol
My son has been hunting and fishing everyday since school has been out for thanksgiving so the truck is muddy. Maybe this weekend I can get him to wash it so we can test fit the bumper before I send it out for powder coat.
