So next is the body man. A friend of ours is going to patch the doors for us and do some other miscellaneous body work....if we ever decide to let him have it. We may want to drive it a bit the way it is....this has been a long time coming.

Check her out...posting up old school style with one elbow out the window and one hand on the wheel... i love it! Looks great. Putting on those bumper brackets and bumper is definately a two person deal to get it lined up correctly. Keep the pics coming...!

That 350 is toast. We haven't opened it up yet, but it left a good sized dent on the oil pan. We are sticking with the 283. It runs too dam good to mess with it...

The whole set up was repopped. We had to fight with it a little to get the holes to line up, but in the end it came out nice...

Well the truck's been running real good. There's a few minor things I need to take care of. A small leak on the tranny cooler line and a couple other small things...but for the most part she's running like a top! Lisa even let me drive it to work today! Everyone's loving it...

A few updates... the other day, Lisa started to 'freshen up' her emblems... only one side so far. I think she did a great job... just needs the blue in the

Then she decided to get the door panels in... she sanded while I watched... then I sprayed them blue and we put them in. I used some stainless steel 'allen' type screws for Ace hardware.

Then on Monday morning she drove it to work... she's been driving it all week..

Here's a shot of here leaving... God was smiling on her too...a nice 'good morning' rainbow... and a shot of her arriving back home in the afternoon. I had a touch of the 'wine flu'

on Monday so I called in sick so I was able to wait around with the camera all day at home...

Door panels look great, and emblems (wish I had painted mine as the aftermarket ones I bought have already faded). Love the smile on La Mona Lisa's face driving that cool 65', once again guys Awesome work!

P.S. Can I have your old door panel screws as my 57' is missing about 5 of em'?
