Re: Post Your Ride 88-98 Trucks
Here is my Daily Driver.
I put in a painted grill, diamond clear headlights, marker & corner lights, and put on a diesel front bumber. The rear has a welded in Goodmark roll pan, filled and relocated tailgate handle(painter guy screwed up the clear and I am resanding and buffing it). Wheels are BOSS 307's, 245/40-20 Front, 275/45-20 Rear. Drop spindles in front with a hanger/shackle kit in the rear.

Re: Post Your Ride 88-98 Trucks
Heres my old 96 and my current 00 25hundo. The 96 had a 3" Rough Country lift and 33x10.50 BFGs. I put some later model Z71 Tahoe/suburban decals on it in place of the factory Silverado. Other than that pretty much stock. The 2500 is just a 350 auto 4x4.

Re: Post Your Ride 88-98 Trucks
correct me if i am wrong but something i have noticed no one ever fixes up a long bed chevy most are the short beds. personally i wish mine was a short bed but i don't really feel like sectioning the bed and frame to make it a short bed.

Re: Post Your Ride 88-98 Trucks
I like the long beds, only if they are a standard cab, like my 72 GMC. Long and low. I think the short beds look good behind a extended cab.

Re: Post Your Ride 88-98 Trucks
agreed. Extended cab longboxes are too long and just look funny. Crew cabs, in my opinion, kinda vary, depending on the truck. Crew cab shortboxes look nice, IMO, though. Same with Crew cab stepsides (ever seen one? doubt it. There's one floatin around town here, white, 2WD, with some Cragars on it). I would really like to find a 96-99 crew cab shortbox, especially a half ton Z71 shorty-crew. Now those are fairly rare. I think most regular cab shortboxes look goofy too, unless it's lowered, lifted, or a stepside. These trucks usually either look goofy, or look real good. Thats fine though, breaks up the monotany. Hell, unless they're hacked and cheesified, I like most of them. Just like 67-72s, almost every one of them looks great!

Here's one for you. It's for sale here in Nashville. Eight lug wheels, 454. I guess the bed is just a simple swap?

I got that pic off the wheels and deals website, but I have seen that truck in my neighborhood a couple of times. I'll keep an eye out for it.

Yeah. I don't believe any crew cabs were released with stepside beds. There was no practability to them, really. Look nice though. I would actually get a kick out of that one, an 8 lug with a big block... would be fun.

Re: Post Your Ride 88-98 Trucks
TMT - still haven't forgotten about you. I went by that shop maybe three weeks ago. It was my second time stopping by; asked if the owner (think the guy who owns the truck also owns the shop) would let me take pics of the red truck, since it was for sale. Both times, the guy I talked to (different guy each time) acted surprised when I mentioned it being for sale. There's a language barrier there, so that might be part of it, but the second time I left my phone number for the owner to call me, and I haven't heard anything. So I guess it must not really be for sale. Either that, or it is for sale, and the owner is one crappy salesman. Sorry man!

This is my '98 Short bed Chevy with about 7,000 miles on it. It has a 4/6 drop and smooth front bumper and has budnik billet wheels on it.

Original_balzer, that is a sweet truck, I like all of the trucks, but it is good to see more 4x4s. I love that front bumper, it goes well with your truck.

This is my '99 Tahoe which has been lowered 4/6 inches. Other mods include a shaved rear tailgate, removed rear window wiper, rolled pan, smooth front bumber, cowl hood and billet wheels. This is my daily driver.
