Re: 1 Owner 1976 SWB
Glad to see you are keeping up your dad's truck,
My 78 will go to my grandson, and I hope he has as much interest in it as you do. I have some stock parts from my truck like the original jack and tie down under the hood, are you using yours or did you remove it? Like yours I have had this one for only 35 years (2nd owner) and it is all original, but now big changes

Re: 1 Owner 1976 SWB
I still have almost all the original parts off the truck.
We did remove the jack & some other stuff to de-clutter it some but it was all hung on to. |

Re: 1 Owner 1976 SWB
I finished getting the truck all cleaned up and ready for an indoor show this weekend....
I was messing with some lights for under the hood at the show & took this with the lights off in the garage just to see how bright they were & thought it was a cool picture... I brought the 98 home this weekend too... it's been in my Dad's shop for a while so the garage is a full house again... |

Re: 1 Owner 1976 SWB
Nice..and then I look out the window at mine and say, 'why cant u be like 1 owner 76?'. But son came over yesterday and helped me w Western Chassis extended shackles. Brought it down about 2 1/2in. Nowhere near where I want it to be but I was bored and had the parts. Its a Heavy Half so I still have several leafs I could remove before c-notching. (a bigger hammer would have put this one in its place w fewer whacks but..oh well) drivers side leaf is juuuusst touching, have to remove a little bed frame.[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

You know you have a great looking truck when it looks good at an indoor show. Stunning squarebody my friend.

Re: 1 Owner 1976 SWB
I have more trouble getting pictures of the motor in my truck, they are either too dark or too bright. I took these last night at the cruise night with my phone & they turned out pretty good.
I was talking to someone the other day about the Lokar cables & bracket on my carb... |
