I can't figure out how to upload video from my phone. The videos are posted on our Facebook page. Wild West Street Rods.

Re: '68 c10 build
The bolts are holding the ecu under the dash. They are just in there loosely. I'll change them out with some button heads. I am not running a center air vent. I planned to leave it out because I think it's a cleaner look.

I Don't think this one will fall into my budget unless I was finished with Walter. So, I'll need you to slow way down.

Re: '68 c10 build
Start up sounded mean. I know you said there was no exhaust, but is that just a stock motor. Ls3?

Re: '68 c10 build
It's a stock 11k mile Pontiac g8 l76. Even has stock exhaust manifolds on it. Basically the same as an ls3 from what I understand. I agree, sounds mean.

Re: '68 c10 build
Few updates for the week:
First, my bed was delivered. Looks pretty good. One small area that was damaged in shipping but not too bad. We're going to go ahead and fill the stake pocket holes.

Re: '68 c10 build
Second, we got the brakes bled but the pedal isn't right so we ordered a new booster/master cylinder/proportioning valve combo. It should be delivered this week.
Third, this isn't a very good pic, but my dad started building the exhaust. I'll try and get some better pics when it's finished.

Re: '68 c10 build
Finished the seat up today. Came out pretty decent.
The pic doesn't show up very well but also installed the new visors.

Re: '68 c10 build
This isn't the best picture either but I installed the overflow container. I found this one and thought it was kind of cool because it looks like the factory wiper reservoir.

Re: '68 c10 build
Anyone have any experience with these mufflers? I'm looking for a quiet but healthy sound.

Re: '68 c10 build
Exhaust is getting closer to being finished. Waiting for some exhaust pipe to come in to finish the tailpipes.

My bad. It's larrys 68 project that got the new billet hood hinges. I've been following both builds. Again very nice truck. Awesome work.

Re: '68 c10 build
I got a text message from my dad today saying he took the truck for the first test drive. His exact words were, "This truck screams. Like really screams!!!!"
Now I'm stuck at work waiting for the weekend to get down to his shop.

Re: '68 c10 build
Ran by the shop this morning and listened to the truck through the exhaust. Of course I forgot to take a video. Anyway, it sounds really-really good. Quiet but deep sound. Pretty much exactly what I was looking for.
They have started bodywork on the bed and are getting ready to assemble it on a cart. Grabbed a quick picture on my way out the door.

Re: '68 c10 build
I'm curious what you did with exhaust. Did you buy a pre-bent complete system? What brand of muffs? Thanks, Dave
