Re: 61K10 build
How do you like the Woodlife? I've been using a product from tractor supply called black magic that is very similar since you can't buy creosote anymore.

Re: 61K10 build
1963c-10--never used it before. saw it at my ACE hardware and it said black. I put 2 coats on and you can still see the wood grain, but is flat black looking. kinda looks like it been on the wood for awhile. my strips are sprayed with tk bed liner. ny bed is lined so it should blend in i hope. (bed was pretty beat up to paint)

Re: 61K10 build
going to start my bed assembly today as i have a friend visiting. thought i had my brake line problem fixed--not so. the ford 4x4 lines fit the wheel cyl's but not the other end as they were 3/8 on both ends. ordered some 3/8 bolts for disc brake hoses.might work--it never ends!

Re: 61K10 build
not much done, it's been hot! Big fire about 6 or 7 miles away and smokey. up to 4000 ac
redid my brake lines with the banjo bolts for disc brakes. had to cut them off some, still not happy with them. started bolting the bed wood and strips down. bought a bed bolt kit and dumb axx me thought the bolt kit had the bed to frame bolts--NOT! couple of pics--

Nice ! Looks really good. I like that last pic too. Hope the seat comes in soon. I'd be just about giddy, if I was that far along.

Re: 61K10 build
Well--I wasn't going to put rug in the tk BUT, sense they don't make the rubber stock looking piece, rug it is for now. not glued in so easy change.
got my inner finder panels in and some more sem bed liner for the bed parts and wheel tubs. don't buy the shifter boot and retainer for the 4sp, you can only get 2 screws in the seat side. the other 2 eng side go in the hole in the floor. I guess this is why they were not stock. the wires hanging are for a single temp gauge as my stock one is toast.

Re: 61K10 build
The carpet does look sharp. I'm with you though, I would rather have the original style rubber floor mat. I keep hoping that they'll start reproducing them again by the time I get my nv4500 swapped in. Otherwise I'll have to go with carpet too.
Sure seems like your making a lot of good progress on the pickup these days!

Re: 61K10 build
thanks 63c-10 I guess i will get use to it lol.
Jason--I should have shot another coat of bed liner on the floor and called it good. I had over spray from the outside of the cab (had a green tint) live and learn. they do have a vinyl covering that covers the whole floor. Marke had a thread about the install. maybe i should have gone that route--does the 4500 have a pto option on the driver side? Randy--just going to run a short antenna for now. my buddy gave me a CB and another buddy has a 1k amp and some antenna's. also shot my wheel tubs with bed liner.

Re: 61K10 build
just so you don't get bored--wheel tubs don't fit, had to grind the inside ends a little'
sill plates in and you can see how the weather strip (honda) is a little short. i pieced it out with some reg. w/s which doesn't match. another project at a later date.
