Re: My first build-1967 C10 LWB
Haha I deserve it I finished painting the frame, but I really haven't made any progress. I've had a ton of homework and really haven't had much time to work on the truck, but I'm hoping to get some more of it painted this week end. i have 2 short days this week and a 3 day week end so i will have more time to sand...and sand...and hopefully paint lol.

Re: My first build-1967 C10 LWB
man it's been awhile.... Unfortunately, I don't have any updates. But I do have a question. I found some seats and a console out of a 91 burb on cl for a good price and I was wondering if anyone has put these seats in our trucks? If you did, how do you like them?

Re: My first build-1967 C10 LWB
Sorry Rick haven't had much free time lately, but I made some progress today I got a lot of the cab stripped down and finished up my interior. I am going to get it back on the frame this week, do a little bit of rust repair and then prime/paint it. I got the bed about 95% stripped I just need to do a little more sanding, fill in my sidemarkers and fill in a few dents. I also got everything on my engine put back on so I'm almost ready to fire it up again. I'll get pics soon. Oh and as for the seats I never looked at them but the guy just reposted them on craigslist and with the price he is asking I might just pick them up anyway because I think i could make them work.

Re: My first build-1967 C10 LWB
Well I towed my frame out of the garage today over to where my cab and bed are. I'll get the cab on this week end and get it painted very soon, followed by the bed because I need to get them out of storage asap. Exhaust is all installed, so a little body work on the cab/bed, paint the rest and assemble it so i can get it re registered I have some pics of the frame being hauled over so I'll post those in a few minutes.

Re: My first build-1967 C10 LWB
Photobucket wouldn't let me upload the pic's last night so I'll give it another go soon. I was just looking on craigslist and I found some more seats out of a 97 Tahoe. They are leather, a little used but I'm ok with that. I like the idea of the front seats in my truck, bu at the same time I also like having a bench for more room. My question is, would the back seat (not the 3rd row) work in these trucks?

Re: My first build-1967 C10 LWB
Sorry my internet was out all day yesterday. Here is a pic from moving the frame.
I painted the firewall of the cab tonight, along with the underside of the hood. I'll be setting the cab on the frame tomorrow, doing a little more sanding, replacing rocker panels and will hopefully spray it on Friday or Saturday. Everything else that hasn't been painted(minus the bed, still need to fill in sidemarkers) is ready for primer so this should be a productive week end.

Re: My first build-1967 C10 LWB
Thanks!
Got my cab on today !! It's almost ready for primer, just need to do a little more body work. Painting my hood, pass fender and doors tomorrow hopefully, might not be able to until Saturday. Then I've got to work on the cab and get that painted. Probably going to have to kick my uncles toyota out of the garage and roll the truck in there because it looks like it's going to rain this week end Sadly, my phone died and my brother took his camera with him to class so I couldn't get any pics. So check back in tomorrow

Re: My first build-1967 C10 LWB
Here are some pics. Unfortunately, the rain came to quick and I couldn't paint anything. I got the truck partially garaged so i could sand some more. The driver side door is completely sanded and ready to go. No progress tomorrow; storm tomorrow so I'm not going to be working haha.

Re: My first build-1967 C10 LWB
One more
Its finally starting to look like a truck again. I've got to sand all of the surface rust off the bed now, thanks to all of the rain, although it's my fault for not covering it up... Anyway, I got more primer yesterday, so tomorrow afternoon it's sand sand sand, and maybe lay some primer if I have enough time (it gets dark so early now) and then prime/paint on Saturday. Hopefully more progress pics this week end

Haha don' you just hate the rain lol I'm in the same boat as you though with the surface rust on my cab roof but its not so bad because only a few spots were still bare metal but it still gonna take alot of sanding to get it back keep it up man thanksgiving break is just a week away and I'm hoping to get back to work on my truck.
