Hey Rick, if you ever decide to get rid of those 68 wheelcovers I'll take them.

Hey Rick, nice progress on the truck. Sorry to hear about your dog. And I think Krylon should sponsor you.

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"
ok so i sanded the passenger cab corner ( i had to just primer it so it doesnt rust so thats why its white again)and the door jambs on both sides ( only the upper door jambs) and welded a washer to the back side of the metal on the inner cab corner where the 3 point seat belt mounts to the passenger side ( sometime inbetween now and when i got the truck the original nut broke off the back of the metal) so since i dont need 3 points and i dont want 3 point belts i got 2 plugs and a washer that the plug fits and welded the washer to the cab and instlalled the plugs, heres pics

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"
well after some observations and comparisons..... i realized that the spot welder thaty spot welded the dashes in the trucks at the fremont plant on january 5th in 67...... must have been drunk or tired or something. the inner metal of the dash is in my cab the way its supposed to be, the outer metal that you see is pulled to close to the driver. from the right side of the steering column to the cigarette lighter is all to far out so im going to have to drill out the spot welds, pull it back to fit the inner metal and clamp it then weld it back up..... so needless to say, im gonna have to gut the whole interior till its just metal and fix that all up....

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"
A flat army green and black roof would be something I haven't seen and look cool for cheap, but with all the work you've done a true gloss factory two tone would be ideal in the long run

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"
Thanks Keith! Yeah I like how with different hub caps my trucks style can change I noticed with the spotlight and the white top and the nova caps that it looks more like a COPO order truck for the highway patrol lol.
Yeah I've always hated the cracks and seams... I'm also going to weld up the seams on the doors where the window frame meets the actual door to and the rockers of the cab, I like it when the rockers look like a price of the cab and not a separate body part. As an update for today, I got another tailgate to cut out a patch panel section for my tailgate to replace the old back into the trailer with the tailgate down dent lol, so we will see how my body work skills are there..... I also have to find my patch panel for the passenger door speaker hole..... I seemed to have "missplaced it" LOL Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"
while i was cutting the grinder came back and cut my leg open and it ended up on the floor so the cut off wheel broke, but ill get another one and get back at it, i pushed the truck in the garage so its driving in not backing in so it makes it easier on me to weld the passenger side windsheild seams. also got a new tilt "PRNDL"so the shift indicator doesnt fall off anymore ( the lens was cracked and chipped towards the p on the bottom so if i had the column tilted a certain wa and in park it would fall off, now it doesnt)
