I bought a few parts in the last week or two. I bought 2 more c5 calipers for the front and I still need one more for the rear. I am going to run the front dual piston c5 corvette calipers on all 4 corners with the 13 1/4" cobra rotors. I also purchased a ididit tilt column with the ignition switch built into the column that I should have Friday, I will get some pics this weekend. I hope to start on installing the truck top this weekend or next.

It had a van tilt in it I had bought off ebay, but I put it in the 67 truck I sold.

No turning back now It definatelly needs a hair cut to make it look right. We are going to take 1 1/2" out of the front and 1" out of the back. Still a ton of work to be done, it is just sitting there in the final pics.

I been watching you build for a while now and have been wondering why your welding a metal roof to your blazer? why not just build a truck? just wondering once again.

Anyone can have a "truck", not everyone can have what I am building and it is what I wanted to do with the blazer. How many of these have you seen @ the shows?????? How many trucks have you seen @ shows????? That is why I am doing this, and I want to stand out in the crowd not blend in
Why would you want to spend this kind of money and have something that anyone can build and be just like the guy parked next to you??? I just believe in doing things different and not trying to follow the leader.

thats cool but it looks like a truck with the bed welded to the cab, i think it would be cooler if you made the top removable but it's your build i was just wondering.

That is the whole point is to make it look like a uni-body truck so I guess we are doing pretty good. It is no fun being caught out in the weather with no top. If you want to come down and donate a little time maybe we can figure out a good way to make the top removable and in the process make the window frames on the doors removable also. We will also have to figure out how to make the top seal to the bed cover that is going to be installed and still keep the top removable. It is not as easy as it sounds to make the top removeable and look professional, if it was that is the way we would be doing it.

Shoot me a link to your build thread sometime so I can take a look at what you have going on.

look i'm not trying to be a smart ass but if you think about it you can make the top removable! and if you want i have the plans and was thinking of do this to a blazer. i can explane it to you if you want pm me if you want. and yes it is easy you just have to think about first, and if you lived closer to me i would have helped you!

I don't want to make it removable, if we really wanted to we could figure it out on our own. I like it just fine the way we are doing it and I appreciate the offer.

I am going to build a small trunk that is sealed from the bed for speakers, etc and all my a/c won't being trying to cool the bed also. It will have a bed cover that is in two sections, one will be welded solid to the rear of the cab and to the top of the bed rail for about a foot or two, then it will be hinged where the solid piece ends for the section that will open. I hope that makes sense.

Something like that one but the part that opens will be longer towrds the front, probably open around the front of the wheel tubs.

No the tailgate is still going to open I think, I kinda like the look of having the tailgate welded but I also like to have a place to sit. I will have to burn that bridge when I get there. I am for sure getting rid of the stock tail lights and putting some LED's in the roll pan.

I fully agree and that is why I am selling Low Buck and starting to plan out my Blazer project, and yes it will stand out but still blend in if you know what I mean.

Trazer is looking good! How are the sleepless nights going? My son is now 15 months and loves car and trucks and spending time with Dad at the shows. So keep plugging along on the Trazer but don't stay away from him too long because you will miss allot!

Yes I know what you mean and that is what I am after. You really have to think outside the box this day in time to have something different but I think mine will get some heads scratched This would be a lot easier if we were not chopping the top but all in all it hasn't been that bad so far.

The wife is still on leave right now so she is getting up with him since I have to get up @5am for work. He is sleeping fairly good though, I can't wait until he can start going places with me.
