Re: 69 cst-10

Crazy, LOL Just been doing short trips to and from work, still no video. This thing is touchy. Cant give it more then 1/4 throttle from a stop or it lights up. Even at 2500 rpm from a stop it spins. Lays sideways through intersection at 3k rpm. Im LE and all my partners think im nuts driving something so loud and with this much power. Always threatening to give me a ticket Still finding little things to fix here and there as i go. Still need to rebleed the brakes cause they stick sometimes.

Re: 69 cst-10

The brakes stick? That's not usually air in the lines is it?

So, how are you going to add some weight to the rear?

Re: 69 cst-10

When i first start up the truck the brakes are good. After a few min, i hear the rear brake humming. The other day it caught on fire (Pad) and i just blew it out. I can feel them holding sometimes. Just going to rebleed just to eliminate that possibility.

Weight? For what When i put a bumper on itll help a little, may weld a plate to the inside of it if needed.

Cool.

So you're running discs in the rear with all new brake lines?

Re: 69 cst-10

This is very confusing. All new calipers and pistons? Good brake pedal return spring?

Re: 69 cst-10

You bent new metal lines. How about the rubber lines? Like the flexible line that goes from the metal line on the frame to the metal lines on your rearend? If those get old the can expand when hydraulic pressure is applied from the m/c pulling extra fluid out of the resevoir and then continue to push the caliper pistons out after you release the brake pedal as they try to collapse again with the extra fluid in them.

Thats the same reaction that I get at the station bro. I just rev it up good when I leave work. All my supervisors have loud harleys anyway.

At least it isnt on a busy street. If i were to see this while at work, i would stop them to shake their hand as long as it was a safe area.
