Re: Show me your ratty hot rods!!!!

Thanks alot for the comments, as for the age of the paint, I did it in june-july last year, my truck stays under a shed for the most part, but I wouldnt be afraid to leave it out. Ive never put any kind of clearcoat or wax or sealer of any kind on it, and it still looks just as good as the day i sprayed it.

Re: Show me your ratty hot rods!!!!

I dont know what kind of paint you used but it looks great! My buddy has a 52 chop top chevy with the flat black and he uses mop n glow floor cleaner to wash it! keeps it lookin nice! he drives it in the rain too! i dont know if u want to try it all over, maybe on an old part first! I cant wait to spray my rig!

Re: Show me your ratty hot rods!!!!

Didn't ever see this thread when I was moderating the 88-98 page, so here's what I started with, but have now gotten it down to a bare set of rails so we can come back with what I wanted it to be way before this thread started. Gonna come back with semi-flat (semi-gloss?) black....

I was thinkin I liked how it looked white before but the satin black looks real clean with the tires/wheels and the exhaust running out on the sides like that. What kinda exhaust and size you running? I had similiar exhaust style running like that on my 64 chevy c10 then changed it to lakepipes. Like it better the way you got them though.

Re: Show me your ratty hot rods!!!!

Does it count if it is sold? Bought from board member toot , put in "rare corvette option" 327 , 5spd , tack dash , no interior other than camaro buckets. Sold it to keep my license. Built a 68 that will show up soon as a "patina" truck with a stock 307.

Here's my old '69 shop truck.

It had this massive powerplant!

But you couldn't tell it that it wasn't a hot rod!

Oh yeah! Who says you can't speed shift a 3 on the tree!
