Looks great Joe! Looks like you are moving right along instead of taking the 2 year plan like I did..lol...

And how did it go to Destiny from Big Sexy?

thanks for stopping in

technically I'm not from here....I just live here now, so i guess that makes me an Okie

your 2 year plan turned out super nice!!

this won't even be close

I call it "Destiny" because I have wanted a square crew forever...it is my destiny

the wife came up with big sexy.......and I couldn't argue

We'll agree to disagree. No just kidding I don't have a problem with Texas, just the University of Texas.

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"

Sorry to disappoint ya Scott.

I hope to spend some time on it this weekend. The weather is supposed to be decent.
Working out of town while we were having that great weather sucked. If I feel froggy tonight I might get something done

John,
don't feed the trolls, they will never go away
they will just hang around waiting for more, then before you know it they are controlling the bridge and collecting a toll

the only thing i fixed last night was the dash. The PO hacked out the dash and riveted in a piece from an older truck to put the wipers on the dash.

it was sitting at a custom metal place, so I guess he made the grill himself.

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"

Worked on the firewall a bit tonight....

Cut out the spare firewall.

Cut out the crew firewall.

Test fit.

View from the inside.

Got a couple little spots to fill in by the heater core holes.
That's as far as I got tonight, I still need to do some clean up before I weld it up. I chose to lap weld it, I figured a butt weld would be a pain in the butt
Hopefully I'll get it welded tomorrow and then I will be able to start putting the truck back together.....

thanks,
it was a non A/C cab that they added A/C to. It would have been fine as it was, and no one would have seen it....but I would have known and it would have bugged me.

yep, hopefully I'll have the new harness in today. I need to go pick up an intake gasket and water pump gaskets so I can get the TBI and serp set up on.
