Upholsterer called to let me know the panels will be done tomorrow so he's planning to bring them over and install tomorrow....hopefully... now I just need to track down my outer and inner grille and passenger door handle and get the painter over this week to wet sand and buff the paint and it'll be done.

Re: 71 Blazer "Finishing Touches"
Let me know when you win
I will be posting it for sale here this evening. I am still determining the final price but I know I am going to sell it cheaper here than I will on ebay/craigslist.

Re: 71 Blazer "Finishing Touches"
Part of my figuring a price has been on the investment that's been put into this as well as the current market trends...
I have a spreadsheet with the previous owner's receipts and mine added..... (THE PO Put a LOT of money into this Blazer) NOT INCLUDING LABOR Total Investment $27,075.16 It will be listed for much less than that so someone will get an AWESOME blazer at a GREAT price!

Re: 71 Blazer "Finishing Touches"
Well, it's almost 100% finished and it's up for sale....
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/c...p?product=4624 Have to button up a few more loose ends but i'm ready to advertise it to start gauging the market for it. Going to list it here first and then will list on craigslist/ebay/ebay.ca/kiiji, etc once it's 100% finished. Here are the pictures from this evening.... door jamb info... nice and straight

Re: 71 Blazer "Finishing Touches"
For as nice as this one is, the originality of the truck as a whole, and the quality of the work to bring it to this point, that is a good price. I hope you get that or more. I know if I was in the market, I'd be giving you a ring.

Re: 71 Blazer "Finishing Touches"
You did a real nice job on this. The next owner will be pleased, especially at that price.
I figured you put more than 13k into after initial purchase price. I can only dream myself, but someone should pick this up, and quick!!! |

Re: 71 Blazer "Finishing Touches"
Thanks guys. Have three interested right now. Everyone's waiting for it to be 100% finished which I understand....but it's going to go to the first one with cash.
Got the main weatherstrip on the top and the top installed. Still have to put on the hatch and do the weatherstrip around the door glass. I liked this shot out in the driveway with the under dash lights on.... Weatherstrip taped up while it dried... And the top is on...looks really good with the top but I still like it more with it off And the temporary rear hatch
