Re: 77 yellow gmc swb
you done a great job on that dash , it looks allmost factorie and thats a good thing
its the way foose likes to do things : you dont notice it unless you know the car or until you put an original car next to it realy curious at how the paint on the dash will last over time the finish looks awesome

Re: 77 yellow gmc swb
been thinking for quite a while wat to do with the doorskins there huge and square
not a lot to get inspiration from have to get some cardboard and a sharpie one of these days and just draw some lines i was looking intoo a dash that is either 2 10 inch screens that display computergenerated clocks bells and wissles or one that resembles a old style dash ,eeeh the name of the car shot ot of my head at the moment but i wanted some of the dash to mould intoo armrest on the doors , it would still leave a lot of blank space under it

Re: 77 yellow gmc swb
Yea I understand the door panels , I was gonna make some from aluminum but I figured after I painted them black they wouldnt look much different than the ones I have, may add some trim that may help ?? I got them from a mid 80's C60 ,

Re: 77 yellow gmc swb
I think they look good as is, but if you put some trim later on that would look good too.

Nice, I wasn't sure if they were aftermarket or original. now that I think about it they are for a newer style pickup than yours.

Yea I'm really not sure what year they were , I like that they are just clean and simple , also they fit and cover up all the holes in my doors ! LMC has some clean lookin ones for like $170 a set ,
today I got the last 2 knobs turned the e brake release and vent ,

Re: 77 yellow gmc swb
Hey man, I bought the same plug wires you have a while back. did you have any problems getting them on the plugs? I have stock manifolds on it for break in and they would not fit with the stock manifolds. I had to use a different set yesterday. I am hoping they will with my headers. I guess they should.

Re: 77 yellow gmc swb
Thanks guys for all the kind words , you all are keeping me goin !
I used the correct rosette rivets , I got them from ebay, 60 bucks for 4 ! I'm not sure about the manifolds but they are tight on my headers , I think they are supposed to run under the header but I put them above ,which then I had to get my holders just right to keep them off the headers, Today I got the correct sill plates ,I had bought some nos but they were for a crew cab , was able to get the carpet in and the seats bolted down
