Re: My 64 C-10 fleetside shortbed build
I fitted my pass side door on today. My gap between the door and where the drip rail was is to big. Does anyone have a parts cab with a decent pass side drip rail they want to sale?? I dont think I want to do the filler rod thing, My driver side drip rail is in good shape. I dont think anyone sales these drip rails new do they??
Im ready to get these 4x4 tires off my rims also. I have the tires sold to a buddy of mine. Be getting some smaller nissan rims and tires for the time being until I get my new tires.

And did you see he wanted $30 for those drip rails? That is more than a whole floor pan patch panel.... I think he is smoking crack. Unless it is someone from this board then I do apologize and dont really think you are smoking crack.... pot maybe.....

Re: My 64 C-10 fleetside shortbed build
Still working 6 and 7 days and week and have been busy around the house so not to much done lately. I did get my new AC window unit put in last week. Works pretty good. I built me a door for my sandblast cabinet so I dont have to take the lid off everytime. It works great now, alot quicker and easier to get the part in and out. sticky foam gasket from the ac unit left over worked well on the door to make it air tight. So I got some sandblasting done in it today. I got the battery tray done and POR-15 it. Also did the washer fluid bottle bracket, and the fan shroud and got those in primer.

Re: My 64 C-10 fleetside shortbed build
battery tray looks good, and the blasting cabinet is slick, but the air conditioner will make you soft

Re: My 64 C-10 fleetside shortbed build
Thanks C. Brown. It works pretty good and was cheap to build and fun.
I Supported the bottom a arm on a 6 inch peice of c channel and a dozen pops with the sledge hammer and the ball joint fell out. I called around and carquest and napa has the replacement ball joints for 25$ each. Now I have to tear the other side apart.

Re: My 64 C-10 fleetside shortbed build
you can rent a ball joint installer from autozone or advance, nothing to it with your skills on a side note what did it cost you to build the blasting cabinet if you dont mind me asking.

Re: My 64 C-10 fleetside shortbed build
Harbor Freight has this one on sale for $119.95. At this price it's not worth it for me to make one.

Re: My 64 C-10 fleetside shortbed build
Well been really busy lately trying to catch up on things around the house and servicing the 3 daily drivers in the yard. I did get my new 3 inch drop springs in from cpp. I havent done anything on the truck lately, been working some overtime so I can go to the charlotte auto fair this weekend with a few $ in my pocket.
Looking foward to meeting you this weekend at the show Flips. I hope it doesnt rain the whole time, weather not looking to good right now. anyways Strodder is probally right. I built that blast cabinet with alot of scrap peices from work that was free and already had extra wood laying around for the stand. The only real cost I have in it is the gloves from ebay that are blast cabinet replacements, the harbor freight 9.00$ work light mounted in it and a 7.00$ peice of glass the local glass shop cut for me. Oh also the siphon blasting gun that was 27.00$ from tractor supply. I just enjoyed building it and a good conversation for people that come over to the shop.

Re: My 64 C-10 fleetside shortbed build
heres a picture from Charlotte auto fair this weekend. Soooo much stuff to look at you need 3 full days to cover it all. I met up with Flips72 there. Him and his brother had a truck bed slam full of stuff they bought, lol. Super nice guys, wish we had more time to chat but we all were in a hurry to get what we went after. What a fun filled day it was. nice meeting you Flips.
