Re: Jans 53
I really feel your pain! The "sanding" loop is soul sucking. Keep it up, it'll be worth it.

Re: Jans 53
Keep the beer flowing....helps keep the sanding dust out of your throat...that's my story and I'm sticking to it.....Roy
P.S. If it wasn't for beer I'd have gone MAD years ago.....

Re: Jans 53
Just read though the entire thread in one go..wow, what a build. Jan I salute you, you've got serious skills! absolute fantastic fabrication work.
So the on the color, I love it and perhaps put a mat coat on it? I don't know if that will help with the deterioration, but it will look bad ass i.m.o. thanks for the tip on Raptor liner, as it turnes out it's available here in the Netherlands where I live. and lastly I second the necessity of beer during sanding..and thats also why we're building a ratrod..but the beer still flows. keep up the amazing work!

Re: Jans 53
Not much to report, finished blocking the doors today and applied the final primer. Most of the body work is done it’s just the final blocking on the fenders, hood and bed sides. Need to order new tailgate and bed front. Some pics to prove I’m moving forward.

Very nice Jan. I like the old hooks in the garage door frame trick.

Re: Jans 53
Very nice....there are NO shortcuts to a great paint job. I don't think most people realize the amount of labor/skill involved.
Nice job Marc

Nice work, I can see the hooks in your garage door frame that you hung the truck doors from. ............ keep it going
