Re: Son's 68 c10 Short Bed
Does it really need color sanding?

Re: Son's 68 c10 Short Bed
This afternoon they are going to spray the wheel tubs, door hinges, gas door, and ash tray. Should be able to get the bed on the truck Friday or Saturday.
Hopefully, we can get the doors sprayed sometime next week. I need to figure out someone, preferably local, who can cut some new door glass. This truck had the one piece kit in it from Brother's when I bought it, and the driver's glass got peppered with some grinding sparks early in this restoration (wish I could be mad at someone else, but it was me).

Re: Son's 68 c10 Short Bed
I managed to do the same thing. Twice. The first time was on a Cobra replica framed windshield ($750) and the second time on my original 72' C10 windshield.

Re: Son's 68 c10 Short Bed
We got the bed on today and the side markers and tail lights. They are an LED set and I’m having some issues, I’m pretty sure are ground related so hopefully I’ll figure it out tomorrow.

The whole back half of the truck is coming out so nice. The fuel filler, smoothie bumper, wheels/tires, and everything really came together well.

Re: Son's 68 c10 Short Bed
Thanks, man. I ordered some Mar-K trim yesterday. That should definitely help it as well. Your truck is looking good too, hurry up and finish that hood.

Doors are on. Passenger side fits amazing. Driver’s side isn’t bad.

Re: Son's 68 c10 Short Bed
A couple weeks ago I installed some LED Taillights I bought from Brothers. They are the sequential type and I think they look pretty cool. I also did their LED side markers. I ended up having to add a ground wire to the housing to make everything function properly. Just wanted to upload a video showing them.

Re: Son's 68 c10 Short Bed
My son has been body working the front fenders and grille for the last week or so. Today he sent me this picture and said, "This fender is some of the best sanding that I have ever done!"
He actually does pretty stinking good at this stuff. He's had a good teacher but he definitely has a knack for it.
