Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks
[QUOTE=DJMAN;3912368]It came from my father-in-laws back yard as a 250 three on the tree. (sorry no pics)
To this in my front yard after 2 years in a buddy's shop and me working really slow. [ COOL!!! I see it has the optional "E81 FLOORBOARD" Seriously, though, what's up with that? Last edited by WIDESIDE72; 04-20-2010 at 10:30 PM. |

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks
here is some work that ive already done. not even close to finished under the hood yet though. first picture is where is started when i bought it (minus breather), second pic is where i got to all in one day. new water pump, fuel pump, valve covers, VC studs, and carburetor. its a 600 edelbrock on there, not put on, just there for mock up so i could get the correct length for the fuel line and vacuum hoses. got an edelbrock team1 intake manifold and hooker headers ready to go on as soon as i get my mallory HEI distrubutor paid for.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks
Looks can be deceiving, one of the reasons I paid waaaay too much for this thing. It needs a floor pan, seats, new bushings throughout, body work, paint, leaking cab ( too many leaks to mention ). 350 motor runs good and was recently rebuilt so hopefully I wont have any major problems with it any time soon. But I bought the truck as a daily driver and a project for my 17 yr old son and me. There should be a lot of father son bonding on this one !!!

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks
There are some really great trucks on here. I am new to this forum and to Chev's having just bought my first one. I am from Durban in South Africa so there are very few around. I had always wanted one so when my car was totalled after just being repaired I figured I needed something stronger to drive and found the Chev below in a town about 400 miles away. I flew up took one look at it and bought it then drove it home the same day. It had no working speedo or fuel guage and having no idea what sort of milage it got I stopped at every gas station on the way. Got back without a problem at all but the next morning I burnt out the starter motor trying to get it started.
I will try to get it looking as good as possible while using it as my daily car. It is supposedly a 67 Right hand drive with the extended cab and a 327 V8 with an ato box. That is about all I know. Last edited by jonathanblindell; 04-17-2010 at 11:25 AM. |
