Great truck, what are your engine specs?? It looks very sanitary. I also spotted your Wilwood master cylinder. How'd that work for you, no booster?? Disc or Drum brakes??? Thanks

Yes they are fender well headers. No part number. I had Performance Stainless of Appleton WI build them. Their mild steel 1.75 stepped to 1.875, with Edelbrock victor merge collectors 3.5. Exhaust is 3.5 in and out.

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks

I have more pictures coming soon (I hope). Their on my friends camera. Maybe over the weekend. No build thread, but maybe I'll start a after-the-fact thread. I have a bunch of build pics.

Now I'm trying to figure out what to do with the tailgate. Big printed sticker, pin stripe(s), or airbrushing? It needs something or not, and i can't make up my mind.

I don't know. toss your 2cents at me.

My vote is a trucker girl done in pearl. I did a few on motor cycles. Its subtle but always got great reviews. Here is one over black.Name: IMG_2030.JPG

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks

I hate this picture, the tree shadows make the tailgate look like has waves you could surf.

The plate mounts to some inner frame work i made. About five inches behind the cab. Its rigid, no tricky power lift gizmos.

[QUOTE=djracer;4303641]Nice lookin truck. Have you run it at the track?

Well, I'll try to answer everybody's in one shot!

Nope, no track time... Hope to next spring-early summer....

The color is a 08 or 09 gm cosmic gray pearl effect, cover you a$$ when you pay for it!!!! (I think, its been a while)

The engine is a 396cid .030 gm 350 block, splayed main caps. 3.875 stroke, 13.5:1 Dart pro 1 heads, stainless valves w/titanium retainers. stud mounted roller rockers w/ stud griddles. electric water pump. Don't know the exact cam specs. (engine builders!!)its a solid roller .675" lift 260ish duration, super victor intake w/ wilson spacer and billet Dambest methanol carb. Everything in it is real good stuff. It makes 650hp and 590ftlbs. ....And yes, I burn alcohol on the street.... $2.50 per gal or$6.50 even with the alky fuel, I still get about 3.5mpg

Brakes: Are all Wilwood, 4 piston dyna-lites all the way around no booster. Fronts are the Chevelle kit (I have a Jim Meyer Racing tubular front end) Rears are a big bearing Ford kit on a Moser Fab9 housing.

As for the tail gate, i dunno... leaning towards pin-stripping.

Thanks for the info, the valve covers looked thin, I thought it was a small block, great motor, awesome power. It looks like 15" wheels??? What diameter brake discs are they and how is the stopping power with no booster? I like the clean look on the firewall, I've been studying the Porter Built drop members so much, I forgot about the Jimmy Meyer cross member, what are the benefits/features of the Meyer cross member? Thanks and enjoy that alcohol swilling BBC. Later

The engine is a small block "350 block". Yes, it does sport 15" wheels with 13" rotors. The truck seems to stop great without a booster. The pedal has a way different feel than power brakes. Calipers are super tight against the wheels, but they fit (.25" wheel spacers). I went with the Jim Meyer front because it is a true bolt in for the truck. I bolted and welded mine. Benefits...... They're easy to deal with, down to earth people. The kit went in with ZERO issues, really nice fabrication work. It rides and drives great! The truck aligned very easy (standard charge) Really nice set of directions. I wasn't even aware of Porter Build at the time of ordering so I can't compare the two.....

this should have been easier for me, I've got a 427 sbc to put in the truck this winter...I've really got to read more carefully. That's a stout small block, I'm at 563hp and 565tq, made for pump gas, and a hydraulic roller, to keep it smooth for the street. Not many tracks on my Island in the Pacific. Sorry for being dense, and thanks for the info. Oh yeah gotta respect the truck pic post...not mine by the way, just cool

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks

Here is Betty, she has a long way to go but is a kick in the azz to drive . My friend did the pinstripping. It was his 1st time, not too bad for a 1st shot. She has a CPP 3/5 drop with a front sway bar and an adjustable track bar. I havent put the disc brakes on yet.

When I brought her home and now
