Re: My Facetruck thread.

113 here today, and the renters called to say that the AC ain't working. It was 120 in Woodland Hills, CA. They get a break, I think it was only 116 at the rental house. I went over to see if it was something easy. Nope, breakers not tripped. But the fan in the condensing unit isn't even trying to spin. If it was, that's just a start capacitor, an easy fix. So, now I have to call in a professional. I just had foot surgery, and can't find my AC gauges to boot. It's gumby money spent!

You for sure know about your weather as you live there,, just kiddin ya some my friend as for the prices of homes on the coastal side of California ,,where so many people are selling and moving to other states because of taxes ...here is a google photo of a house in Los olivos that just sold for $825,000 ,,in a bidding war.. Here where I live it would go for around $250- 300 ,but again it a bidding war is all over our area as well due the people from other states moving here.. here is a photo off google of the house and property

I bought a fan for my heat pump where I moved from in Oregon and did not need it ,,but kept it and then I did need it., It was $100 that time well spent .. sure as heck if I did that again ,,then the whole unit would go out and then the fan would do me no good..

i understand not being able to do the work your self due to your foot being injured ,, I... in the past have threw my back out and had to hire some one to take my place until the darn disc moved where it supposed to be .

Re: My Facetruck thread.

just talking to my buddy at work about Missouri.. his folks and his brother and his family all relocated to Springfield from Fresno recently and just found out they're from Arkansas..

my buddy was born in Searcy and they moved west when he was 5.. he's a kickass heavy junk mechanic and worked at a John Deere's dealer in Fresno before coming down here.. his dad is in trucking, mom a banker, brother union electrician.. been working on him to move out there but he's got some retirement time here he'd have to make some tough decisions.. but I really hope he makes it out of here, I can use a good mechanic on the farm

Re: My Facetruck thread.

Our property maintenance guy is from Pine Bluff.

I used to have relatives around Fresno, last name Brawley. My dad kept close contact with his uncle, but we lost track after he passed.

I have the uncle you met killer, that lives in Corona. He spent his working life acquiring property here, in anticipation of his retirement. Then his kids grew up and his grandkids are in California. He's trapped there.

Gopapa, Larry, has a history with Searcy area you know.

We have a contract, doing municipal water and street improvements, with the City of Marshfield, next town east of Springfield.

We are in Springfield at least once a week it seems. We have our heavy trucks worked on there. We have a couple up there now.

Email her name. We may be best friends or even relatives.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

My sister was going to give me their information. I'll catch up with her and let you know. I know his people are from Texas, but not sure if the aunt is his family or by marriage... or what her situation is. Like widowed and moved back, or what. My sister only said 'aunt'. I'll find out.

Haven't talked to my sister yet. I sent her a text last evening, but it was too late for her to talk. We'll be talking today.

I've been wanting to bring this thread back. Glad you did, KB. I grilled some steaks last night, made mashed redskin potatoes, and white corn on the cob. I enjoyed that meal. Over and out

Yeah ! lots could go wrong with that Merry -go -round ..reason I know a bit about this sort of contraption is that when I was around 10-12 years old my dad took a car hub and mounted it on a stump next to our house and bolted a long board on it for us kids to sit on,,,other kids twirled us faster and faster..

Most of the time no one got hurt but some times teeth were knocked loose and bruzzas were an every day event..

So yes ,,this king size merry-go-round and moving to boot ,,Oh Yeah ?

Killer Bee might ride it though.. you think?

back in my invincible days, I would have ridden that contraption with a beer in each hand

but I traded in my cape for a diaper bag almost 10 years ago
