Lookin' great!!! Almost to the finish line! Can I get a pic of the inside trim around the flush fit glass? Interested to see how "factory" it appears.

Re: Finally "Silvers" build thread!! ('78 swb 2wd silverado)
LOL! @ Josh! thanks guys! i thought long and hard on those damn bolts buddy. i took out all the tailgate bolts and i figured id have to just lift straight up to get the bed off anyways...
also im still waiting on the interior shop to finish getting the dash, door panels, and back wall covered in leather and embroidered. and of course still waiting on the painter to finish up the hood, Jeff's awesome 6x9 brackets, rear gravel guards, and a few other odds and ends before she gets wet sanded and polished. ordered a bunch of parts again today... red top battery, cnotch, on and on.... need to install the gaylord cover tomorrow and see where im at. its been alot of fun.... i raced my trailblazer ss last night against silver with my ex wife driving the ss(long story)LOL guess who won????

Re: Finally "Silvers" build thread!! ('78 swb 2wd silverado)
Wow! You guys are great! Thanks you so much! I don't really know any of the 'right' people like mag. Editors or anyone like that. I'm hoping this build thread and maybe a couple car shows will get the word out about her. I tried to get into the autorama that's coming up in Feb. But I'm a lil late. Oh well we will see.
And about racing my ex-actually soon to be.... I couldn't find anyone else in a short amount of time to pick silver up from the bed liner place... I can't get any traction.... from 40mph she still spins but pulls like crazy! Couldn't believe it at first.... Tried it 3 more times to the same result. Silver stomps the Hell outta the ss at a 30-40 roll! The ss runs a 13.3 with no traction! Any ways looking into a posi for the next mod. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Finally "Silvers" build thread!! ('78 swb 2wd silverado)
bed (well, the whole truck) looks great! performance sounds like mine...spun the tires from a 50-55 mph roll while driving next to my son and family in his car on the highway.
I've got big drag radials for it now that cure that...but they are a bit aggressive for the street.
