Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
think a set of red striped black ovalracingrims would look good on that
http://www.brutusv8.com/gallery/1/15x105bsr.jpg you might even be able to use the same tires

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
a while back i had the link of someone widening those type of rims they just cut the rim edge on a lathe and weld a band in between
the wheels are steel so there pretty eazy to weld the job wasnt too expensive either compared to a rim ready build the size you want you do need to paint them though unless you go in instead of out http://www.weldcraftwheels.com/index-1.html look wat i just found .... http://www.earlywheel.com/rallywheels.html

Finally snapped some pictures of the big toy! 2010 marks it's 7th year since my dad and I finished the frame off restoration... looking pretty good still after all it's off-road adventures. (Need to get that grille back on, working on getting the A/C back together)

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
No. I wish. I'd like to have a 2wd version of it and drop it.
![]() I originally saw this thing sitting outside a bodyshop near Gainesville, TX, about 90 miles from my town. It was in process then and still had the stock black and gray 2-tone on it, but had the dually fenders on it. A few months later I saw it in its completed state sitting outside a store in Scotland, TX, about 30 miles from here. Those pics were taken in the local Sam's parking lot. I see it around town from time to time. |

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
I just got around to snapping some shots of my daily driver...
My grandpa bought it brand new, ordered it from the family salesman at Cerritos Chevrolet! Its a '76 Fulltime 4x4, 350/350, 243k miles on the original engine and trans! The paint was redone back in the mid 80's, its all original... ![]() Thats right, it has Pepe Le Pew on it! ![]()

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
^^^^Holy Crap, that's sexy!
I love it. Very good choice of colors too. Well done. Only thing I'd like more is if she was bagged/slammed. ![]() Love the Blazer too. I've always wanted to see something done with the Duely Fenders on the front too!!!!!! That'd look SO tough!!! Imagine the pain in the butt it would be to make the extension tho... tough??? If a 4WD axle, all it would be would be extending the axles/s and steering??? I might give it a shot some day. Right now I'm working on this though. Gotta figure out which method I'm gonna run with for droppin the rear 2 more inches. I don't wanna C Notch if I don't have to, so I might just get longer shackles for the rear of the spring, and notch the support for the bed. Might work. We'll see. Too much rake for my taste. Should have the new blower in within a couple weeks. ![]() Not a show truck, but super clean. and a bit of snort. |
