Sad that most kids in high school will never know the joy(pain in the rear) controlling three dimensions by hand. Computers do it now and will even rotate the piece for you.

People only see the finished job not the work that we have put in to build and recreate these "projects" we have.

Similar to you I own a 1905 Farm House. The only original plaster that is left is a 3 foot by 3 foot chunk that I just couldn't bring my self to tear down. It is covered by Quarter Sawn White Oak so I left it. Otherwise the entire house has been massaged and updated. No one understood the process and the total Love(hate) i have with the house now.

Thank you for sharing all you do with the community!

Sorry I am posting about a few pages ago about 106 to 108 maybe...
funny, I started out in HS in machine shop, went on to the first Tech center in our area, then got a job in tool and die shop, then a speed shop, all related to my Bridgeport knowledge

My sons were all taught manual before they went on to CNC

Damn!!! Just spilled my first cup of coffee all over my interior, what a mess to start my day

You've given me the incentive to get back on my rear mount of my rocker box area, I had forgotten about using templates for that area, but I may call Wes and order them up

Re: PO has me PO'd

I really thought about it. I had them in a cart and everything from Wes. He has a lot of cool parts.

Just the thought of the fight that it would start when the CC bill shows up this month. I do have to say though, Last year at this time for Christmas my wife surprised me with the title to the Jimmy.

I had the guys number in my phone for the Jimmy and she called and bought it for me... So there is that... She thought it ran and drove, and was really kinda upset that it didn't.

Have a great day!

She really sounds like a keeper, great part about that present is, you get to work on it, and she can't complain to much, since she bought it.....

Re: PO has me PO'd

All the parts came in from unity, switch bezel, pillar mount (202), not received the actual switch itself...

[url=https://flic.kr/p/Q3utVH]

somehow, I have to rotate the mounting plate for the adaptor

Re: PO has me PO'd

One of, if not the best reproduction sheet metal piece I have ever bought and that goes back 20 years to my English cars

Wes was very enlightening on the process of other manufactures, and his ability to only supply us with best parts out there

Example, his fuel filler neck grommet, mine was about 5-10 years old, never in the sunlight and still checked and cracked, After about 1/2 hour of BSing with him, I placed my order. Always great to chat with a person, that has as much passion about his products as we are about our trucks

had to cut my old one to get it on

Re: PO has me PO'd

this weeks problem....
OEM bypass spin on filter adapter.805 OD
Jegs non bypass adapter.............810 OD 16 TPI

tried a thread file, no luck, thought there might be a burr

Put adapter on lathe, removed 5 thou. still a tight fit, but worked it back and forth with lube, seems to go all the way on

[url=https://flic.kr/p/QbL8dm]

I think I can clock the adapter now, once I figure out location

Re: PO has me PO'd

played with my twin stick today. what a PITA trying to hold up the shifters and start the pivot bolt by hand, so I wouldn't cross thread

Make sure to install inside shifter rail linkage first, as you can't install after the pivot, shifters are offered up

Thanks, had to modify on my router table to get them to function, plastic lens had to be reworked, to light as OEM.

Nice billet alum. piece from Marquez, still have to buy 2 more for the rear

Re: PO has me PO'd

sorry for the delay, went to upstate NY to do some snowmobiling for the week, still very sore after 12 hour rides, well not exactly 12 hours, quite a few bars in
between.....

problems with the location of the remote oil fill, rethink

but I did make some progress on the twin stick mount, cut the hole three times and its still short on the throw, last cut clears, you have to have at least 1 1/2" from plate to the front of the stock hole to clear in high gear

Re: PO has me PO'd

Bummer.

If there's any room to raise the shifters UP a little bit they will work with a smaller through-hole.

I remember playing that same game with the shifters on my Atlas-4. I wanted them to all line up with a common pivot point (OCD-type issues!) but AA doesn't set up their brackets that way....

-G, thanks for stopping by and the advice, gave up on the shifters lining up. Went with the trans mount from Locar. worried that any body roll would kick my trans outta gear

Heard from Kurt lately, gotta give him a shout, hav'nt heard from him in a month or two

next purchase is alum. atlas trans. case 2/1, and drive shaft brake.
thanks for posting a link to your build, lost you for a while, very entertaining, great work, over the top build

waiting for Locar to send me my 8" straight handle, probably 2 weeks out yet

do you know which shifter is front and rear?

can't raise them up, located by the pivot bolt

Hey Jim,

I stop by frequently to check on progress here.. . Seems like you have things well in hand, so I usually just keep quiet and enjoy the pics.

Kurt is around, seems like he is busy with his new business venture and spending time skiing with his kids....
