Re: Random Photos ‘You took’

buddy of mine needed to use my trailer so it was time to dig it out and redeck it.. it was in baaad shape.. it's not completely finished but roadworthy to make his haul..

he's moving to Springfield MO where his parents and brother's family moved a few years ago so he's hauling his '69 and some cargo back with it..

sawzall, prybar, and a bigger hammer

small world - manager at ganahl lumber that selected my boards, cut the 4 footers and ripped the two skinnies, basically fit the whole deck for me, is also moving to Springfield next month

couple of notches in the rear angles and copious amounts of belt sanding - voila!

after my buddy gets back and the lumber has dried out a little and sapped out I'll pull the boards for seal and paint - fun project for the kids

Looks good!

I just pulled my trailer around front so I could pressure wash it and give it a couple of coats of preservative. I think it makes them last longer.

thank you and great advice I'm going to take this time.. that's a 2003 Carson I bought brand new with brakes on both axles and battery backup emergency break away.. but I requested the deck unpainted so I could apply something clear and a little nicer looking.. well guess what - like an idiot I never put a drop of anything on it..

I've kicked around the idea of using the same products I put on the longhorn bed on the farm.. I actually have some here for my other longhorn but I also have the bed kit for it so more likely paint on the trailer.. my son is insisting I clean up the frame and fenders so anything could happen

Looks like a nice setup. My small trailer is too light weight to haul much of anything. I think I am going to put it out by the road with a for sale sign on it....

Random shot. I didn't take it, hope it still counts. Me and my dad taken in about 1977. That's my old POS Ranchero in back. My wife says that I have the same smile today....None.

I was not a friendly kid.

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’

Mine is 5' x 10'. I wanted one narrow as the truck. I originally pulled it behind the '92 K3500 SRW I had. It's a 3500# trailer and has brakes. I have heavier/taller tires on it. The sides are removable. I stashed the ramp and made the tailgate level with the sides. That way I get a tailgate for a 12' deck or can lay longer things across the top. It's a handy versatile little trailer. I have diamond plate fenders I need to get on there, then some paint. I've had it about 25 years

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’

We all know that extra garage space is a good thing, especially when it's free! A local farmer has this building near me that he wasn't using and it needed some repairs. He's letting me store "extra" vehicles there in exchange for me mowing around and maintaining the building. Actually he said that I could just use it, but it's the least I can do to make repairs and maintain it. So far I've used it to stash a junk 70 C10 that I parted and I store my 72 C20 there most of the time as well.

What a deal!!! It's nice that you threw in maintenance. It works out for everyone.

The Vette was a gutless 76. Ahh the good old days of emission controls smothering out horsepower.

The one Harley is a 79 and the other is a 1942 WLA. My brother still has the 42 and it's fully restored now.

Well at least it picked the right place to die. And hopefully the hole wasn't "occupied'.
