Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Made (with serious help) a couple of aluminum options for the Vintage Air firewall treatment. I like the VA cover, but I may like the aluminum better when it's all polished up and mounted.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I dug through my parts stored in the shed, found out I am missing one bushing from a set I ordered 4 years ago. Then I installed to Quadrajet and hooked up my throttle and TV cable. I also started making a list of the parts I still need. Turns out it's still alot of parts!!!!!

Welded up my front bumper.
Ooh, and I sort of tested the back bumper I made a few weeks back.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Pulled some dents out of my bed, removed the bed fender wells and installed a Dynomat type product called RoadKill in the cab of my truck. I was a few sheets short and now I have many paper cuts on my fingers from handling that foil backed rubber product (sharp edges).

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Got a bit of work done on the doors for my short bed. Installed Brothers 1 piece glass kit. "Not as much fun as I would have liked" This is only the fist one on the next door I will take more pic's and make a post about it. If anyone have not done this I will try and help best I can. Sorry about the bad pics I was using my phone.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
The body guy came over and straightened out all the lines on the truck in one day. In fact, in about four hours. Quite an art. I just lifted when he said "lift", tugged when he said "tug".
Never has there been a bigger difference in the truck in one day than what he did today. In the meantime, while I was saying out of his way, I plumbed the heater and air conditioning hoses and worked on the aluminum plate for the firewall. .....just a mock-up. I forgot the camera today...Too excited about a real guy coming to "help"...Pics tomorrow.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Welded up all the screw holes in my bed left behind by a snap on cover and welded plates in my stake pockets smoothing the top of the rails on my bed.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Took both front wheels off after jacking it up. Replaced $147 worth of ss brake lines...Nasty job. Especially by yourself. Haven't clamped 'em down yet.
Wiped up all kinds of drool from the floor. Trans. fliud, brake fluid. I sure hope the trans fluid on the floor is left over from my stupid move of trying to fill the trans with the drive shaft out....Looks like I fixed the brake fluid leaks....hope, hope...The "hope" is that it doesn't leak from somewhere in the back, now. Looks like oil drooling from the oil pan plug, too. Must leak...I don't have any oil in it. Took out the old gas. Put in 5 gals of new gas. New gas cans (plastic) suck big time. I just took off (and then threw away) the "fancy" EPA crappy spring-loaded "nozzle" and used a funnel. Measured, marked, cut, and sent the A/C hoses back to Vintage Air for proper crimping. Ran some wiring for the A/C fused power. I looked at the bat. terminal where I have the hot only hooked up to mock up the fused line and the routing of the + cable. Brand new 48" cable. One tightening on the battery. The lead connector broke off. Or, actually, broke into two pieces. I'm gonna guess that if I looked, it says "Made In China" somewhere on it. Anyone know of some good ones?

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
well this isnt just today but in the past month I found a 69 chevy half ton the guy was going to send to scrap cuz the cab was rusted out beyond belief so i took the all steel bed and rear springs and swapped them with mine because the previous owner put cut jeep cherokee springs in the back of my truck. I also installed a nice stereo system running two mid drivers under the seat and 6x9s in the doors with a kenwood deck. just this morning i blew the head gasket so thats what ill be spending my weekend repairing. i just found a line on a sb350 that dynod 390hp with 500 miles on it for $100. just needs to be reassymbled long story short.... but being my daily driver i need it to run so im gonna just fix the head gasket for now
