Thank you for that nice compliment! AC is nice, but sure was a pain to install! You have a really nice truck too!

I did get it all cleaned up for the pic though on sunday. Saturday was spent putting the rear shocks on, fabricating rear lower shock mounts, outside trim.

Denee,
Lookin' good, girl!

Remind me again, how many inches is your axle dropped and what did you use for springs up front? If I stay with my straight axle I'd want it to come out about like yours. Lower but not too low - heresy I know around this board! lol.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

Hey Dan! I went with the stock axle which was overhauled by Sid@dropped axles, and I bought the 2 leaf posie springs from him as well. As for how much these springs dropped the axle? supposedly it was about 3" from stock, but I have nothing to compare to. However, I did speak with Sid not long ago asking about dropping the axle to get the truck a little lower, but passed on the idea. I have no desire to do anything else to the suspension. I'm very pleased with the ride!

Not heresy with this guy. I like being able to drive on most streets in this area.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

oh c'mon, don't be chickens!!! I dropped mine almost 8 inches from stock ride height if you include the rims and tires and our roads up here are way worse and I can drive damn near anywhere I would want to with it.

What did I do with my truck? The wife and I cruised like teenagers

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

I want my truck lower, I've just grown up enough to not want to deal with approaching driveways and speed bumps at an angle. Not worrying about some pothole I didn't see until the last moment. Screw all that BS. I want my truck to ride decent, look cool and NOT be a pain in my a$$.

If that makes me "old" then I'm old and I don't give a rip.

(Now, where are my Velcro tennis shoes, my gigantic black plastic sunglasses to put over my regular glasses, and my black socks to wear with my Bermuda shorts?! lol)

You know Mike, there is a striking resemblance between your truck and Denee's!

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

Heresy I say. Heresy.
I like mine low when I'm parked. As for driving I just sit-up the bags and away I go. No worries about potholes here, if the roads are rough I just add more air.
My only worry is blowing a bag or line. Then I'm screwed......

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

Completed a brake job, after ordering what I thought I needed from LMC and three trips to different parts stores I got them done. I had hoped to rebuild my wheel cylinders but once I got them apart they not rebuild able. If anybody needs wheel cylinder repair kits PM me know, bought them for a 51 gmc, not sure what all they will fit. Support your locally owned parts store, one close to me had all four on the shelf and at a great deal. The local flaps couldn't even look them up. Almost ready to go down the road.

Cousins indeed, one the skinny one (Denee stepside) the other a little wider (Mikes fleetside), both nice looking.

Ha ha, I love the understatement!

I'm planning to drive mine to work as soon as it cools off a bit. I currently work in West L.A. Land of the truly high maintenance. There are Rolls, Fiskars, Mercedes out the ying yang in my parking lot. I don't EXPECT to "wow the masses" - unless they collectively feel sorry for me! Lol.

I think it was Wow it's 106 outside and he doesn't have AIR CONDITIONING.
Or WOW why does that thing make so much noise?
or WOW Why does that truck sit low in the front?
Or WOW why does that truck peal out on every light change?
Or WOW that truck is too old

I think that kind of wow
