It has about a 2 inch drop.... it was my dad's truck.... and what he did back in the day was.. cut a coil off the front springs, and take the overloads off the rear... it slams if i put any kind of a load in the back. Plan to bag it though.....

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

And here is one I had in 1987-88, hence the old picture. Wish I had it back. Original 6cyl. truck, but had a built 350, 4 speed, 3.42 posi, 4" lift kit, good wood in the bed, chrome roll bar, 15 x 10 wheels with 33/12.50 mudders. A super nice truck. One dent in the top of the cab, where it was driven into a low hanging tree limb at Talladega, at the race. After I sold it, the next owner painted it black. No idea where it is now.

There's tons of suburbans at the pick and pulls around here to snag front clips off of. Every once in a while there's one on craigslist

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

I've been thinking about getting a set of Foose Legends, what are the specs of the wheels and your truck (tire size and make, wheel width and backspacing, suspension)? Thanks

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

Here is a pic of the 84 I had in High school. I put every dollar I made into this truck and have been kicking myself ever since selling it. The kid that bought it from me totalled it about a month after he bought it.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

the truck is lowered with 3 in drop spindles in the front and 5 in in the rear. The wheels are foose 20x8.5 in the front with 14mm offset and 20x10 in the rear with 20mm offset. the front tires are 245/40/20 cooper zeons and the rear tires are 265/55/20. These tires are fairly reasonable areound $700 for a set. I bought the rims off of ebay at a good deal, only $1200 for the wheels and they are $2000 off the website.

Here is my 86. 305/700R4, 1.25 coils cut out of each side and 1 leaf removed. She's mostly done, I need some clear sidemarkers, and not the ones from LMC.
