Not a truck but someone with a 67 short bed might find these useful:

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

Look like stock sport mirrors to me - so, yes, I'll go out on a limb and say OEM. Or at least aftermarket repros. But, not original to the truck - it would have likely had DG4 below eyelines, unless camper mirrors were ordered.

SPID says DF2 camper mirrors.

Ah, Thanks! Now what idiot posted that SPID and forgot?? (ah, that would be me).

So, hotcorner - is your question whether they sport mirrors are an original GM mirror (yes) or whether they were original to the truck (no)?

Obviously, not original to the truck. Would seem odd to have sport mirrors with camper wiring. Were DF2 camper mirrors different than the below eyeline tripod mirrors? The kind that bolt to top of window frame?

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

DF2 are the big ones that have a cross bar that bolts above the upper belt molding with two large support legs that attach just above the lower belt molding line - and rotate out/flip up to be able to see around the big campers. The ones that attach to the upper door frame are West Coast or west coast jr.

I am not an expert but I will tell you what I see from the pics that may help you one way or another.

Barring any rust: there are positives that cost you money if you were going to buy a truck without them. I would alwasy look for rust issues or bad patch jobs.

It already has AC ($1K +)
It is black which seems to sell quicker for more money on a regular basis than other colors (don't hate my statement I am just saying)
It is black which is way harder to keep nice and way easier to see flaws if there are any when clean
Already has a serpentine system ($$$) and includes billet accy's
PS, PB - which costs if you want it and don't have it
Hacked up dash for a double din radio - that is a personal preference thing but this may tell you that there are other hacks.
It is a GMC - to me that helps as it is rarer. To some it is less valuable.

Anyway, it is opinions. In the end, what you want is what matters unless you are only buying it because other people like it

I looked specifically for some of those things when I bought my 68. Some items have more value to me so when I compared it was easy to decide.

FWIW - have communicated with seller 3 times, he won't send any pictures, keeps telling me to come see it and I wont' be disappointed, and believes it is underpriced at $10.5K.. I'm out. Could be nice, but not worth the pain. Why a seller is unwilling to walk outside and take 2-3 requested pics (because 2 of the 3 posted are identical...) yet expects a buyer to drive about 6 hrs each way to just look at the passenger side is beyond me. I wouldn't buy this unless the guy lived next door (and came down about $4-5K). Good luck.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

Don't see these very often (note, they are on ebay with a BIN price) - Factory overloads for a coil truck (blasted and painted). $150 shipped

Not a compete truck but a decent period correct option. It will look good on the front of my 72 4X4 1 ton (Ok, I put the 1 ton axles under it).
