Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks

The hood is a 67, I believe grant customs built the truck. Used to be yellow and white. I haven't found a whole lot of info on it though, lots of fab work into that truck.

Pretty sure the hood is split. Check out this thread, he's doing the same modification. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=392728

Post 314 on the above mentioned thread http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...392728&page=13 shows how the "66 DiBella" truck is doing the mod.

While I can appreciate all the effort, man that is a ton of work, I guess I don't understand why? Body lines will look the same when done, right? Maybe if it was pie cut or did something to alter the body profile from stock. Don't get me wrong I am not knocking the modification, the amount of fabrication and quality of the work is stunning, I just don't get it. Somebody please enlighten me, what am I missing?

Also check out the front bumper on the black fleetside above... very cool.

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks

my first guess would be to allow more room for running lower. appears to have raised the wheel wells.

It does allow for more room but the truck looks different from the front when the hood is up.

I don't know, I can appreciate the workmanship in that truck, but it looks like an el camino or ranchero style truck with all those chops. To each his own I guess.

So is this going to be the only one in Norway, or are there a few others around? Very nice looking truck, I can see why you're excited for it to show up.

Yes, that's Hebrew on the license plates (translated to "Classic Vehicle")- those are from Israel.

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks

here are my trucks. the lowered one is a 66 sb I purchased in 1989. it came with a 327 3 speed posi.
it currently has a 454 th350 ford 9 inch 4w disc brakes.
the grey one is a body stuck on a 78 3/4 ton 4x4 chassis. it has a 454 th400
both are driven regularly.
the last picture is some spare parts I picked up a few years ago, and I just like the picture.yes everything in the row is 60-66, and yes, I took it all home
