Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
Welcome. I always like to ask for a SPID before I hit the road, and to ask directly beforehand if its been cut down. Not everyone is honest, unfortunately. An easier approach is to only buy 3/4 tonner lwbs! Nobody fakes those Thanks for sharing, you may have saved someone an even longer trip.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
If he didn't tell you after you asked that's a different story...I'd be pissed too.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
Like Jocko said I also recommend a picture of the SPID.
I also ask if the 3 VIN's match (Cab, Motor, Frame). I wouldn't go out of my way if I wasn't comfortable what to expect when I arrive. *For the record I flew from Kansas to Tennessee to buy a truck truck I hadn't seen in person. People do it every day. |

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
I've made 4 long distance runs purchasing vehicles. Only was completely disappointed once. I pasted on it also. It was supposedly a two owner Blazer. He was asking top dollar for it. Wasn't what I expected for the $16,000 asking price. IMHO probably a $7500-10,000 Blazer.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
I'm not certain, would like to see a SPID. The black seat and visors could have been swapped in. I'm detecting a slight tint diff between bed and cab, so I'd want to confirm it's a swb truck on the SPID also. Still sure looks nice though! Needs real steelies rather than rally steelies. Could be a very nice truck with very little effort.

I'd buy these. In fact, I would encourage the buyer of my 69 K10 project in the parts forum to buy these as a direct bolt in for the ones I'm pulling out of it. What say you all, this is a decent find. |

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
Thanks for posting that Open Road Camper, Dale. I love those. I could see driving across the USA in that.
This is the thread I consistently check first when I log in. I really enjoy seeing all the different trucks for sale across the country. Thanks for posting these up, guys! Mike |

72 C20 Cheyenne w/an Alaskan camper $12K (listed as a "camper special" but does not appear to be one (i.e. or a Custom Camper, as it would be called in 72). Nice looking truck. Some Super add-ons in the interior it looks like. https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sf...199810128.html
