Cool but a bit pricey considering condition.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

I looked at a couple trucks in Turlock this morning. I'm not planning on purchasing either, but I looked them over pretty good if anyone is serious and wants info. Seller is a real nice older gentleman.

1. 1972 GMC Sierra Grande 3/4-ton 4x4. Very rusty (including drip rails). But well optioned, and the cab supports look good, if anyone wants a project. Dual batteries, headliner, buckets, manual throttle, etc... It's a daily driver.

2. 1969 Chevy Open Road Camper. Really clean. Turn key. 70k miles. Driver seat is some aftermarket thing, but comes with both really nice original upholstery bucket seats.

68Bowtie, is that first pic of the GMC K2500 you posted recent? It doesn't match the cl ad and actually looks a lot better.

That one didn't last long on CL. I saw it and was going to call and went to go back to the ad and it was gone. Good luck and have fun with this one.

He needs to post your pic on craigslist, looks sharp with the new tire/wheel combo! I’ve been watching for another K2500 Sierra Grande optioned like mine. This one is closest so far, it’s just missing tilt, tach and wood bed floor.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

I found this on Craigslist in California and made a deal over the phone. It is now having major body replacement done in CA. And I did all this while I live in Cooperstown, NY 3,000 miles away. There are (almost) no excuses for buying a truck anywhere at anytime. BTW I paid $1200. ( that's right 12 hundred, not thousand) for this running driving K-10 4x4 Short Stepside with all numbers matching including a build sheet attached to the gas tank.

Well, “lacking funds” or “lacking spousal support” seem to be legitimate excuses. 😂

Jobs are over rated, and kids are very resilient, but you didn't mention the one really holding you back. Very shrewd.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

Absolutely stunning 68.

https://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/...398973677.html

Completely new frame off restoration of 1968 Chevrolet 1/2 ton C10 fleetside pickup. Almost every nut, bolt and cotter key replaced or painted. Many extra photos of build during year and half rebuild.

Pristine, complete and highly detailed by professionals. Odometer reads 60,509, could be original, but can't prove it from history.

** New cab mounts/ cushions.
** Underside of cab and box totally cleaned, blasted and undercoated while apart.
** Total factory repaint, matches trim color on vin tag. Single stage cardinal red (red/orange). Stock color. By pros.
** Doors, box, hood, fenders, tailgate all removed and painted inside and out separately off frame/cab.
** Absolute minimal rust repair to one small patch on drivers cab corner. Solid everywhere else. NO RUST anywhere.
** Engine was rebuilt about 25-30K. ago by previous owner. Very solid 250 straight Chev six. Just PURRS, gets on down the road.
** Factory 3-speed on column, shifts effortlessly.
** New clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, flywheel resurfaced.
** ALL new brake system. Master cylinder (manual brakes), wheel cylinders, shoes, hoses, hardware ALL NEW. Turned drums.
Brakes are top notch, all four corners.
** Engine, transmission, bell housing, rear diff. all steam cleaned and painted (gun not rattle can.)
** Total chassis pressure washed, blasted and cleaned than sprayed with chassis black. Any rust scale removed.
** Engine has total detail, all gaskets new. Rebuilt 2 barrel carb. New starter, alternator, heater core, hoses, belts, more.
** Underhood powdercoated gloss black parts. Inner fenderwells (both sides), core support, rad. support, hood hinges, horns, more.
** Interior of cab, door jambs, inner door panels etc. totally repainted. Gas tank, removed, boiled, resealed, painted. New sending.
** ALL new dash knobs, dash pad, floor mat. All gauges work perfectly. New pedal pads, new armrests, highly detailed. **Seat professionally reupholstered. NOT seat covers.
** New grille, lens, all new emblems. Complete inside box repaint.
** ALL glass perfect (small rear window), except for three small windshield rock chips. Window regulators great, roll up easily.
** ALL new door weather stripping, window felts, front/rear glass rubber gaskets. Everything replaced new.
** New 275x70x15" Hankook white walls (3 miles), wheels blasted, repainted to match, NEW chrome caps.
** CLEAN Oregon title, my name.

Summary: Very nice Chevy collectible, maybe museum piece to right collector. Asking $ 22,500. O.B.O.
