Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Installed Hooker block hugger headers, MSD cap/rotor, Accel super coil, and wires.
My old TH400 unrapped it from its tome. Gonna get it all cleaned up tomorrow. And of course a comparison of my new 2,900rpm stall and my factory p.o.s.

And then, I needed to make up a little relay panel. Something to control some offroad lights and anything else I might want to add later.
Oh man, had to terminate how many wires... Put this over by the battery And all closed up

Built the shifter linkage, bought a new starter... Actually took two days, we kept breaking the welds. Paid $ 50.00 for the starter.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Put a can of seafoam in it for stabilizer to get it ready for the winter. I'm trying to find indoor storage for it but may end up with a portable garage.
I was going to use stabil but read the seafoam can and it did say it is also a stabilizer, so I get the advantage of the cleaning of seafoam. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Went to my son's house and we, my son and twin 17 year old grandsons, switched cradles with suspension on two trucks. Took the stuff off of the '71 and put it on my '67 with a '69 swb frame. The '69 cradle and suspension went on to the '71 frame.
I know it sounds a little confusing, but we are building a '67 swb stepper with power brakes and steering for me and a '69 lwb with a '71 cab for one of my grandsons.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
This weekend I picked up my 454 and modified my 68 BBC frame mounts I got off of ebay to work with my sbc motor mounts so I don't have to buy the expensive BBC ones.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
No fresh pics today. Over the last three days I hooked up with a guy that's coming to the shop to straighten out the lines, do body work, and paint. Hourly deal. We'll get to know each other as we go along.
But I feel good about his qualifications. And building the paint booth at the shop is far better (because of my previous mess ...one year at someone's shop who said eight weeks... ), than sending it off to paint jail. Installed the Vintage Air evaporator in the cab. Re-bent and installed some stainless fuel line from the carb to the fuel pump. New radiator hoses top and bottom. Began the install of some stainless steel brake lines, starting at the m/c, down to the prop. valve, and the first two lines down passed the frame. Because the cab is a '68, and the evap needed to be moved to the right 4", I had to cut a little more out of the fire wall for the one Vintage Air hard line. Made a template for the aluminum plate that's going on the fire wall.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Sorry, I just saw this.
I picked it up from these guys. http://www.evsource.com/tls_fuseblocks.php They had all the connectors and relays, too. But, they took almost 3 weeks to ship.
